so uh yeah ive been capped for like two seasons in the dfsl and somehow this season ive completely regressed
so yeah this pt that im basically forced to write has forced me to have some traumatic flashbacks. there was that one game where I somehow managed to doink two easy field goals in the second quarter. it was week 10 against norfolk. i had to kick because time is low and we really needed some points. the second field goal i'll talk about first since it's missed with 24 seconds left. that's disappointing because throughout the season, I've somehow faced issue making 40-49 yarders yet take 50 yarders like it's nothing. the worst though is how i missed a field goal from the 18 yard line before that. that shit's easier than many extra points. how can i miss something like that twice in a row. i guess i really just saw ghosts that day or smth we lost 35-32, so by a field goal. i might as well die. also i had negative rushing yards Code: 177 words
As a member of the Baltimore Hawks defense, Woody has had a front row seat to a myriad of game changing mistakes this season, some of which committed by himself. While Woody had statistically a very good season, he also had a career high 12 missed tackles, all of which were detrimental to the team. A lot of the time, it felt like there were 11 Trevon Diggs’ on defense. We would absolutely make big plays, Woody is tied for second all time in forced fumbles in a season for crying out loud, We seemed to give up more long touchdowns than any other team. We could get the the QB but the sacrifice tended to be no help over the top and we were consistently getting burned. Unfortunately, those allowed big plays combined with an offense that struggled to capitalize on the forced turnovers when the defense did make a big play resulted in a Baltimore team that really struggled to win games.

Big Slammu has always been known as being a bit of a hot head. It's clear he's never bothered to develop the role model trait as he is one of the most penalized players in the ISFL. Despite playing the good guy on his hit reality TV show, Street Sharks, Big Slammu can only be described as a villain. From arguing with refs, hitting QBs late, and destroying defenceless wide receivers going across the middle of the field the league has been left scratching it's collective head at what to do with Big Slammu. The answer has seemingly been to let him wreak havoc. He's a fan favorite as his punishing style of play hearkens back to a bygone era of stifling unrelenting defences. The fans love to hate him and the fanbase he plays for always waits to see what destruction he'll bring at the line of scrimmage with the snap of the ball. Big Slammu has made more mistakes than most, but he's also made more plays than most.

I'd say easily, Bondi's worst blunders of the season were both losses to KCC. While it may be cheating to use two games, I'd say both of these games were not only super equally winnable, but we managed to botch both games in dramatic fashion and go from what could have been an easy playoff spot, to now praying for the sim gods that we even have a chance at obtaining a spot. In our first loss to KCC in week 5, we had to make a big last minute comeback to try and tie the game. With 4 minutes left, we drove the ball all the way down to the field and brought the clock down to 1:20. We scored a TD, but then of course out of nowhere, our kicker who has been super solid all season long misses the PAT and we lose to KCC with a score of 26-27. In our second lost against them, we flipped the script and had the lead on them, and it was them who needed to have a big comeback. Leading with a score of 23-10 with 5:47 left in the game, it seemed like we had pretty much won. But no, of course we didn't, we botched it big! We gave up a huge unnecessary roughness penalty which helped keep their drive alive and move then a good 20 or so yards and they managed to score with 2:56 left on the clock. All we seriously had to do was hold on to the ball after that, but instead we decided to fumble on our own 30. And then on 3rd down give up another unnecessary roughness penalty. And then they scored, beating us 23-24. Very painful mistakes made against my former DSFL team, but that's botchamania for ya.

It's Barry's rookie years so of course he was going to make mistakes both on and off the field.
On the field there was a number of issues. He constantly lined up in the wrong position, but it's not entirely his fault he was just a little nervous taking the field the first half of the season. He had a few drops here and there because of his pre-game ritual of dipping his hands into a bucket of bat blood. (He has done this since high school) It's the issue that it doesn't always dry by game time. Off the field there was the issue of Barry not being able to accomplish all of his evil goals... robbing banks and developing his new Doomsday device. It didn't directly impact the team but it didn't help keep Barry in the right mind space while suiting up for each game with the Pythons. Hopefully he can correct these issues prior to the upcoming ISFL draft and not hurt his new team. |
