News has reached the offices of the Toronto Star, that University of Toronto graduate and recent DSFL draft pick Alexander Lawrence is switching positions imminently from Kicker to Linebacker. When asked about the move, the player responded with a shrug, followed by "if it's the team's need, it's my need". Following a great presence in this years prospect bowl, many will be left wondering how this move will work out. However the player's confidence in the decision is certainly admirable, especially since he has no experience regarding his new position.
When asked about his clients move, Lawrence' agent and former ISFL kicker, Leo Bloomfield would say the following: "Alex is very excited to try his hand at something very different. He is perfectly capable of facing up to the challenge, and he is a team player through and through. He'll certainly be looking to make massive inroads into both the ISFL and DSFL in his new position. I am perfectly happy with the team's decision and I know that he is as well. Ultimately it is a game of four quarters and I know that he'll be giving 100% in all four.
With this intriguing revelation adding to a busy offseason, many eyes will be glued to the performances of the Bondi Beach Buccaneers and to the performances of Toronto's adopted superstar.
