I'm not clear on whether or not we should expand. I've heard that our recruitment numbers are pretty low so I'd vote against expansion given the chance. This is more about me venting about cities that don't have teams that should. My first choice for an expansion is Pittsburgh. How can you not have a pro football team in Pittsburgh? Pittsburgh has six Vince Lombardi trophies. Since 2000 Pittsburgh has won two Superbowl's and three Stanley cups yet the city gets no love when it comes to sim leagues. Why does Philly have a team in all three sims (PBE, ISFL. SHL) when Pittsburgh can't have one. New England also isn't represented in the ISFL which is absurd. The SHL has the New England Wolfpack and the PBE has the Providence Crabs yet the ISFL has nothing Not even a DSFL Team. I shouldn't have to tell you how successful Boston has been in sports over the last twenty years. They've won a Stanley cup, Multiple Superbowl's and Multiple World Series yet they barely exist in the ISFL.. Of course the push to make the ISFL internationally known as opposed to a national league means that'll it be almost impossible to get another American franchise in the league. Which is relocation is more likely to happen then expansion. An actual Mexican ISFL team would be good. The Luchadores have been pretty successful in their time in the DSFL an ISFL team in another city in Mexico would be great. Mexico City might be perfect. It's the largest city in Mexico and even larger then Tijuana itself. Plus the elevation would give a massive homefield advantage to whatever team choose the location.\ Outside of Mexico., Another team in Canada could be fun. Somewhere like Ottawa or Calgary. Toronto's too mainstream and played out at this poimt. Give some of the cities in Canada a cool place to hang out and bring some revenue to them.

Beniri T'Chawama is my first pick overall. I think building a team from the inside out is the best way to build a football team and Beniri is the best offensive lineman in the game. My next pick would be Wendell Sailor. He arguably should've gone first but i fell like offensive lineman have more to do with quarterback success then we want to admit. My third and fourth picks are Escanor Sama and Nick Kaepercolin Jr.. Sama seems like a fantastic slot receiver and Nick Kaepercolin Jr. caught the most touchdown passes of anyone last season. MY next pick would be Bender Rodriguez who feels like the best linebacker in the league. He led the league in sacks last season as well. I'd put Duke Cheeks and Spicy Ron on either side of him. Then it would be time to take a runningback. I'm going to go with Jay Cue Jr. This is a pretty Arizona heavy team but what can you do? The current league champions have a stacked roster.

It's been awhile but I believe the New York Silverbacks are the best branded team in the entire league. ISFL or DSFL. As for the worst. The Baltimore Hawks feel cheep. I think it's the orange on the russet background that doesn't do it for me. Honolulu Hahalua is also a bad logo scheme but their dedicated fanbase and Ultimus wins means I don't see them changing anything in the future. As for the DSFL, I'd say the Coyotes have the best scheme. It might just be the purple and yellow but it works for me. For the worst I'd go with the Norfolk Sea Wolves. It feels bland and lacks emotion. I understand that submarines are tough and destructive but I don't get that from Norfolk's brand especially when compared to other teams in the DSFL.

Going back to the ISFL for a moment, The New Orleans Second Line are pretty lame. I understand their connection but it doesn't come off as aggressive or a football team.

Expansion, everyone's favourite topic to discuss, that is if you're not a GM that would be losing a player to the expansion draft, but forever one else it is just a magically time to get your hopes up that you might get one of the new teams that are going to be starting, and to find out you didn't make the cut. Speaking from experience. Now I can't speak to the question of if it is time for the league to expand or not, since I'm just a noob to the site and am not up on the number of actives on each team for each positions. But that can't stop me from speculating on team location and names that I could see/want for expansion.

In a hypothetical situation, where I can choose the branding for two expansion teams, my choices would be the Niagara Rapids and Saitama Cherry Blossoms. For the Niagara Rapids, the colours would be a baby blue and white, with the logo being maybe something like the word Niagara that looks like it's water, with the top of the letters looking like waves. I don't know, logo design isn't my forte, but for the name Niagara Rapids works well I think because Niagara region is know for the big falls and the ability to take a boat ride into it.

As for Saitama Cherry Blossoms, the name comes from the trees that are popular in Japan. Adding this team as an expansion, give the International Simulation Football League it's first Asian team. As for the colours, you can use white, pink and light brown, with the logo being a Cherry Blossoms with the word Saitama written using the leaves of the tree. I don't know if the name and logo are the best choice, but I feel like it could be something unique compared to some random animal name and has association with the city being mentioned. Plus the colour scheme would be good.

Again I'm put in charge of something, who's smart idea is that. But anyways, at least for this I think I have some sense of knowledge to be able to pull off a decent half time show Ultimus Half-Time show. First thing first, you gotta get eye candy to get people to watch. And no I'm not talking about sexy ladies, I'm not a prude like that, and I know guys would be watch already. But it's for the female viewers out there, and for that I would hire the Chippendales to be the back up dancers for the main act. As for the main act, you could go for nostalgia, or for current act, and I say why not both. So we would be have a two person main act, ones that were popular before and have just re-gained popularity, Kate Bush and Britney Spears. And to kickstart the whole thing, how about having Lizzo playing a flute to get some twitter outrage. I can already see the views climbing on the Half-Time show, can't you?

16. This task is exclusive to recreate/non-recreate rookies of the S37 class and later. The season is over and the draft is coming up. What do you bring to a team, and why should a team choose to take a chance on you next season? (Written Task)

I'm new to the league, having just joined approximately a week ago, so my player, Good Player, will be part of the DSFL draft coming up in a little over a weeks time. What I want to bring to my team is someone who is fun to have around in a discord, and is also motivated to improve their player and claim TPE as often as possible. I want to be a productive player and have ambitions to see my player perform well and improve, with a goal being to eventually see myself playing an important role on an ISFL team. If a team takes a chance on me, I will make sure I do everything in my power to repay their faith in me as a player. While I can't guarantee my player will be immediately productive statistically, I will do everything in my power to be an active and productive member of a team

27. What team do you think has the best branding in the league? What team do you think could use a refresh? Why? (Written or Graphic Task)

I haven't gotten a chance to get familiar with most of these logos, as they're all relatively new to me, but there's a few that stand out to me on both sides of the coin. On the good side of logos, I think I enjoy the Hahalua the most. Their logo is simple enough to not be distracting or unorganized, but it's got details in all the right places and the color scheme overall is very aesthetically pleasing. I also enjoy it for the unique mascot that also ties into the regional culture, while also not being something overly cliché or obvious. I really enjoy the New York Silverbacks logo as well, specifically the font choice and bordering in combination with the simplicity of the logo and old school colors leads to a vintage vibe that is unique but visually very pleasant. In terms of teams that could use a refresh, I have to say the Colorado Yeti logo is a bit uninspiring, I get the logo being the Colorado flag with a yeti in front of it, but this is subjective and I don't like the primary color heaviness of the 'C' and it could use an update imo.

I've taken part in a healthy amount of expansion in my time as admin for a video game sports league, and I know that it's a exciting topic but also comes with a uptick in work, which usually means lots of preparation and an increase in staffing. That being said, I think expansion is a healthy way to grow a league, and to eventually entice new players into joining and staying around. Being a sim league, a lot of player base changes are slow acting, as a large influx of players wouldn't lead to immediate growth in the ISFL, instead it would take a couple seasons for the influx to be realized at that level, as players need the initial time to develop. As such, I think expansion makes sense, but only if planned deep(ish) into the future, probably 2 seasons minimum in my opinion (i.e. new team would have first season be S40 if decision to expand was made now. A unique challenge with expansion is also the desire to keep an even number of teams. I think while preferable to expand 2 at a time for ease and balancing of conferences, it would make the most sense to me to expand with the teams staggered by a season or two, in order to slowly expand the ISFL player base and not do so by 2 teams instantaneously. Overall, I agree with expansion, just slow-acting and calculated ones, as an overaggressive expansion plan will inevitably lead to issues in the future, and in the worst case contraction, which would arguably leave the league off at a worse spot than it started. An expansion team starting 2 seasons after this next one, and then another 2 seasons after that would be a slow growth plan, that would give the league time to slowly expand the staff team and also carefully pick out GMs for the new teams that would be trusted with the difficulty of taking on a team from scratch. It also gives existing teams time to prepare for an expansion draft and to construct their rosters accordingly. An additional thought could be to allow a potential expansion team to take part in the draft one season prior to their calling up, letting them get a rookie class to develop in the DSFL for a full season before bringing them up to the ISFL, that way it can keep player development cycles normalized with the rest of the league. All that being said, I have to stay around for a while longer before I can truly understand the risks and benefits that expansion would bring to the league, as it'd be naïve to think I could know all the ins and outs of a league I've only just joined. In terms of team branding/locations, I've grown up around Seattle, so I'm biased to say that there should be a team there, but I couldn't get any good team branding ideas.

2. Tell us about your draft class. Is there anything that makes it special in comparison to other classes? Where did your fellow draftees land, how are they doing? Did anyone turn out to be an unexpected steal of that draft based on what you know today? Do you think anyone in your draft class will become a hall of famer? If you’re new to the league, how do you think your class will do? Where do you think people will get drafted to?

So I just wrote this and then it got deleted so I am doing a 2nd time. Pardon my lack of of enthusiasm.

For this task I will try to predict or maybe just give my rational for what I see happening with my draft class. This class is much different than the one I came up in S22. There was such an influx of players and so much activity going on at that time. It really was a unique time in sim leagues. Lots more drama and clashing of personalities. All in all the ISFL is in a better spot now than when I joined. The S38 draft class is a much more traditional draft class. Heavy on linebackers and wide receivers and pretty light everywhere else. Most teams draft user>position but for this exercise I won't be going deep into the positional needs of each team, like the point task, I am just giving my rationale for who I think will end up in the 1st round.

So the first players to go are the one's I am sure will be first round picks are the top earning defensive players. Caleb Hayden, Aidan Hutchinson Jr, Cruella de Ville, Sledge Hammer ,Tank McGibbons, and Zavier Perkins are all highly sough after defensive players. I hear the S39 class is even lighter on defense so teams will jump the opportunity to draft a top tier defensive player in the 1st round. I expect them to all go in the top half of the draft.

The next group is a bit of a problem. I expect 2-3 WRs to go in the first the problem is that there a 5 wide receivers with over 200 TPE. Shane Turnbull, Jeff Newman, Johnny Blaze Jr, Teenie Hodges and RCN all have a case to go in the first. It will be interesting to me the teams that jump at a Wide receiver in the first round and which decide to wait until the 2nd. If any of these players are willing to switch to defense or another offensive position, I think they hop into a lock in the first. We'll call that 8 players.

The next group I see in the first is the two high tpe offensive line man. Walrus Jones and Remi Musgrave-Smythe. Human offensive line give you a lot of flexibility with the cap even if they don't end up earning well. It's such a high floor position that these two will easily go in the first round. 10 players picked now.

At this point I will look at the users left. I think Eldorian is a first rounder, defense create, has experience being a GM and testing. Would be a huge asset to any team and has a very established earning history in two leagues. Only down in TPE due to creating late. 11

Starboy is another player with a great track record. I think he will hop a lot of people with more tpe than just based on his reputation and relationships in the league . From everything I've heard he is good in the locker room and a consistent earner. 12

I'll go with Jimmy Jetta aka Quirkyturtle for number 13. QT was originally in my S22 class. does amazing graphics and earned really well back in the day. I am sure they are sitting on a big bank roll and they know how to keep up with earning. Might be a bit of a sleeper but I would think they go in the 1st

There so many good users to choose from for the last prediction that I a really can't. I count 12-13 players that could make a case for being in the first round in addition to the one's I went over. This is a great draft to have both your first and 2nd round pick. Lots of depth and I think we'll prove to be a good class all around.

Leonardo comes from the sewers of New York city. Along with his 3 brothers and his Father Master Splinter they were exposed to some secret ooze allowing them to grow much larger then any turtle known to mankind. Master Splinter realized he needed to do something with these boys in order to ensure they didn’t go to crazy so he taught them martial arts. These teachings taught the boys including Leo discipline, mental strengths, and a work ethic that drove him to be one of the best mixed martial arts trained individuals ever. However Leo always felt the draw to something else or something more. This is when Leo discovered American Football. The sport was controlled violence and outburst of strength and energy. Leo fell in love with watching the game almost instantly. This is where his new dream of playing the ISFL was born. It was after this moment that Leo decided to turn his attention away from martial arts and pursue a football career of his own. He convinced his closest brother Raphael to join him. Together they walked on to a tryout at the Shaolin temple university football team and were both able to make it onto the opening day squad. The two lined up next to each other on the D line every game from that point forward. After that the two playhed out their 4 years in college before both being drafted to Tijuana and take a massive step forward with the chance to play in the ISFL. The two made an instant impact in Tijuana and went into the ISFL draft wondering if they would be able to stay playing together or would now part ways. But fate would have it that the two would be drafted by Orange county and stay united into as their ISFL careers began. After going to the Ultimas in their first season the team went through some ups and down and management changes in a very short period of time. With this in mind the two decided to see what was available to them in Free Agency. The two Turtles signed in Arizona where they were able to complete their dreams of becoming the league champs by winning the Ultimas their first season with the Outlaws.

Without any doubt @CementHands Raphael McTurtle is the one guy that should absolutely win the DT of the year. The guy has been unreal since coming up as a true rookie. He has been steadily getting better but after joining the outlaws this season he brought it to a whole new level. The guy eclipsed his old previous best for tackles with 53 compared to 39. Not only that but he put up 11 sacks this year which is just insane! His previous best was 3. He had a career year and was one of the most dominate DT’s out there this year. He should absolutely be getting the award for the best Defensive Tackle this year. But he likely wont because Arizona won and teams no longer feel pity and vote for their players for awards. That shouldn’t take away from the fact Raph had a career year and season and will only be getting better next season as he is able to earn more TPE and get better!

I think there are a few teams in the league who could do with a freshen up. And it is nothing against that team, nothing personal, it is purely something for me to write about for 150 words. So here goes. I think NOLA Second Line could do with a freshen up. I think it could be just a different cultural background, but for the longest time I had no idea what it even meant. What is a second line? Wouldn't you want to be first? And then I found out that all the partiers are in the second line and was like, well I am here to win not party. Also, is the logo like a flag or banner? I am just so confused all around. I would like to see something that makes sense, as far as I can see, that is in relation to football? or some sort of mascot that doesn't seem to be a banner?

17. Your team has announced that they will be laying ground on a new stadium next season. What additions would you like to see included in it. (Written Task) = Tier 3 = 2.5 TPE

When the General Managers of the Arizona Outlaws came to us with the news that they are creating a new stadium, they asked us for input on what we would like to see included in the plans. This was a great opportuinty that I took very seriously. I would like our games to be for our whole community. I have previously mentioned the teams charitable work in schools. As a kind of side step and extension to that, I would like to see a sensory room added. A room that allows families with members who have varying needs be able to keep watching the game but also support their sensory seeking or sensory avoiding kiddos - where there is a space for the kids who need to run and get their energy out by climbing and swinging or those that are overwhelmed and need a place to just sit for a bit. Allowing parents to still watch and listen via headphones depending of where they are based on the needs of their offspring.
