The type of question that would set off my player would be something about him not living up to his draft status or to the comparable wider receivers in my draft class. It is something that is hard to avoid but as a player once you are drafted you have to let hat all go and focus on how you can help your team win. Whether that be by being a super star ball catcher or just being a consistent contributor. My player would probably respond with the politically correct answer of saying that he does what is needed to win. There's a certain beauty in coach speech. Saying a lot without really saying anything at all. For professional athletes that is a must. You have to handle the media with tact or you will end up being a complete punching bag. Teenie is smart, humble and avoid putting his foot in his mouth at all cost.
Question- LeAnthony, you are about to enter your first season as a professional athlete. What are your expectations for your time in London?
Answer- I'm not sure how well myself will do in London, but I think we have a strong team and can be title contenders this year. We already won our first game against the defending developmental league champions, the Kansas City Coyotes, so I think we are definitely off to a good start. I mean a win is a win, but beating a strong contender always feels a little bit better. I am not the starting wide receiver right now which sucks, but I am still green and that time will come. All I can do right now is to just put in the work, put in the hours, and the results will follow. I had a strong resume in high school, and I don't think my physical prowess wouldn't transfer to my game nowadays. Thank you.
Reporter: Mr Lawrence, how can you respond to rumours that you will not be the number 1 defensive end at Kansas City this season after a poor preseason?
Lawrence: I think you need to check your sources mate, cause I dont know where you are getting that bullshit from. I obviously wasn't last year with Alex in the team, but this year I am the leader of this defensive line. I admire the hard work the rookies have done this preseason, but I believe that a good defence starts from pressuring the QB, which I plan to do, taking some double teams to allow the rookies a chance to get some sacks. You also may want to check the stats as well. I have already maxed out after half a season mate, if that isn't evidence that I am going to lead this D-line, I dont know what is. Now, if anyone else has any legitimate questions I will take those now.
Kumquat Archipelago has generally considered himself a friend to the media throughout his playing career - he came to America knowing very little about the country and its people, so among the first people he got to know upon arriving in America were groups of journalists, some of whom were very helpful in Kumquats transition to stardom. That's why Kumquat found it all the more offensive this past offseason when a reporter had the audacity to suggest during a press conference that Kumquat was a fringe candidate for the league's most valuable player player award due to a "strong supporting cast" and "poor yards per carry." This reporter went on to suggest Kumquat was something called a "touchdown merchant" who padded his touchdown numbers by carrying the ball on the goal line so often. Kumquat didn't quite understand the accusation, being generally unfamiliar with the practice of merchandising touchdowns, however he wishes that reporter nothing but health, happiness, and many more Offensive Player of the Year awards.
Any time the media here on this insignificant blue green planet you call earth ask me a question it always strikes a bad cord with me as you would say. You guys are all the opposite froody it is really painful, you should really starting knowing where your towel is, you know what I mean. For example I agreed to answer questions after my last game (which I thought was very generous of me as I had reservations for me and Delores to go to Millieways, you know, the restaurant at the end of the universe but instead of asking me questions about the team or the game, you all seemed insisted on asking why I was doing the interview from my bathtub. Haven't you guys ever heard about multi tasking, or washing? I guess I sometimes expect to much from you lot of ape descended primitive folks here on earth, Zaphod Out, smh
For better or worse, the Yeti have not always been the most popular team. For the last few seasons, they have produced a series of lackluster results - they have not made the playoffs in quite a minute and have been spinning their wheels in a constant state of rebuild since then. Last season, it felt like the Yeti finally climbed the hill and were looking down from the top of a rebuild - ready to contend for the next few seasons with a talented, young offense and a scrappy defense. This offseason, the Yeti completely traded out of a draft - an odd thing to happen in the ISFL. Adding a series of picks in what is sure to be a talented next draft was a huge step to creating long-term success, but may have sacrificed a window the Yeti were entering into, especially with the loss of Rocky Moreaux. Questions about whether or not the Yeti are building properly are becoming a bit of a nuisance. The team is set up to perform well in the status quo and grind out a long period of success.
