(S41) PT #3 - Whoa, we're Halfway There!

It's been a great start to the season for Stetson David and very middling for the Norfolk Seawolves so far. Stetson leads the DSFL in catches and yards so far and is among the receiving touchdown leaders too. Stretched over a whole season, his current numbers (29-474-3) would roughly translate to 101-1659-10. Not too shabby at all. It would have to have him very much in the running for top WR in the development circuit. My guess is with an improving team around him every week, he beats those projections and does win top WR hands down!

Now the Seawolves on the other hand sit at 2-2. Good enough for a playoff spot in the South Division, but not enough to strike much fear in Tijuana currently. The Seawolves won 2 blowouts and lost 2 blowouts, so it's hard to see just where they are at in terms of competitiveness. Hot take from my chair says they get hot and find what works well and finish 8-6 and upset Tijuana in the South Playoffs

So far the Yellowknife Wraiths have balled out, and are currently tied for the #1 seed in the NSFC. This season, there doesn't seem to be one player who stands out by themselves, as its really looked like a team effort from the Wraiths so far this season. Of course, the running game is a strong suit for the Wraiths, with 2 max TPE running backs splitting the backfield, so its no surprised that the Wraiths lead the league in rushing yards and TDs. While the Wraiths passing game isn't as dynamic as the running game, its still been efficient, with recievers Brot and Spiff taking most of the workload there. Defensively, the Wraiths have seen a lot of work done by the front seven with LBs Zephyr Greywolf and Kahn Cussion still terrifying opposing teams in the backfield, along with strong contributions from linemen Mo Gago and Daron Arnold. All in the all the Wraiths are still contending and hungry to avenge last seasons Ultimus loss to Arizona.

Trevor Prowler actually cannot complain about much during his first season in the DSFL, even if his team is 0-4. all 4 games were very winnable, which helps settle him in and convince him that he can hang just fine with the speed on the outside. He won a team ball in week 3 after recording his first pick of his career, and the locker room likely being his favorite part of his journey so far.

which leads him to believe that the Bucs WILL bounce back and get to the playoffs and make some noise! Of course it starts with a week 5 win, but when it happens he will not be surprised a bit. Nor will he be once the week comes around and the Bucs have clinched a spot in the postseason dance.

The training he is going through is working really well, keep an eye out for the physical corner in Green!

Well we can talk about the two teams that Beniri T'Chawama has been a part of this season from the New Orleans Secondline to the Berlin Firesalamanders. Both appear to be absolute tire fires or looking to rebuild. Speaking particularly for the Secondline, the team is at the bottom of their conference and have traded away their key pieces in hopes of a high lottery pick. As for the Berlin Firesalamanders that Beniri is currently on, the team traded away their future for a season to compete now with 3 new players from the New Orleans Secondline. However, even with the new additions the team is right where they left off with no additional wins beyond their first one of the season and looking destined for a high draft pick which they may or may not have. Overall, it just seems like a bad season for both the teams and it seems like their luck will not be turning around anytime soon. I guess better luck next season!

Whoa, you might be halfway there but National Treasure is a fraction of a halfway there. First, the dumbass joined midway (partway?) through the season which didn't help anything. He blamed car troubles.

Once he finally got to the ISFL headquarters, he was all turned around. Registration was similar to the college game. So far so good. They didn't have an option for Offensive Weapon with a Mediocre Dong on the signup sheet so he checked 'vertical threat'. Whatever that means. He hopes it meant "Treasure run fast."

Treasure supposes the next step will be the waiver wire, free agency would be too difficult. He's never heard of some of these teams. Where even is Tijuana anyway? The Declaration of Independence made no mention of foreigners. Or maybe it did, National Treasure didn't go to college to play school.

Regardless, Treasure is looking forward to playing some good ol fashioned football. Mashing meat with the boys. Scoring TD's and blowing kisses to the pretty men and women in the stands. Coming to a city near you, possibly. probably? As we've established, geography isn't Treasure's strong suit.

[Martin.Bachman]

After switching to RB for the London Royals, Martin Bachman was excited for the season. However, the Royals played the Kansas City Coyotes in their first game of the regular season. Bachman had an extremely underwhelming performance against the Coyotes with 49 yards on 18 attempts, putting him at just 2.7 yards per carry. Not a great start to the season by any means, but Bachman kept training and in his next game against the Minnesota Grey Ducks he had a significantly improved performance with 89 yards on 20 attempts for 4.4 yards per carry. The Royals continued to give Bachman the ball and he was grateful for the opportunity. As it sits after 5 games Bachman has 347 yards on 85 attempts and is averaging 4 yards per carry. He's fifth in rushing yards in the league, but continues to progress and work hard. He's excited to get better and improve. While the Royals rank almost last in rushing, they lead the league in passing yards by over 200 yards. If Bachman can step up and make the ground game a strength for the Royals instead of a liability than the Royals will be a strong contender for the Ultimini Bowl.

Honestly this season has been bleh for my player and the Hawks. While the team is young still, it's been brutal losing all these games by one score. The amount of teams that have overachieved as well as underachieved has been crazy. Honolulu, Orange County and even Chicago have been winning way more than expected. It's really a testament of what the league has been about with the randomness. As far as underperforming, Austin, and Arizona are the 2 biggest. Really surprised how much Arizona has fallen since their dominating stretch of seasons, but in all reality, that could turn around as we're halfway through the season. As far as Austin is concerned, it's been weird seeing them have an average offense and defense. They have arguably the best talent in the league, but it's definitely faltering compared to season's past. Is it coaching, is it the players? Only time will really tell. It'll be interesting to see where the rest of the season will take us.

What I want to talk about is the parity in the league... After taking over London as GM this season I've taken on, among other things, the small role of giving prediction help to those users who need some inspiration. Last season I had a preeeeeeeetty good track record of getting good results in the predictions. I only had 1 week last season where I got 1 pt. The were a couple 2 pointers but the vast majority were 3 pt weeks. I was feeling pretty confident I'd be doling legitimately solid picks out for people this season. Ooooooooooh boy was I wrong! The last three weeks (6, 7 & 8), I managed to get 1 point for each. I tripled last season's count of 1 pointers only halfway through this one. So what does that bring me to you may be wondering? What I have learned this season is something very beneficial in this league... Just when you think you know what you're doing, the sim lets you know that you have no clue.
