S44 – Leonard McCoy (WR)
Life has been a bit rocky as of late. I thought my skills in the medical field would propel me through Starfleet Academy without any issues but that didn’t seem to work out. I made friends and met interesting colleagues. Heck, even they thought I would go far in Starfleet. Not making it into Starfleet was a blow for sure. I was forced to make a career change. Never did I think I would be donning a football jersey instead of a Starfleet uniform. I am here though and so, its time to build those skills so I can be successful. I will have to put as much time and effort into learning how to be a great wide receiver as I put into the field of medicine. My friends James T Kirk and Dr. Spock are behind me so that’s a plus.
I can’t believe I am now on a team in the DSFL now. I am a Kansas City Coyote and that pleases the heck out of me. I just hope that I can pour into this team as much as my friends poured into me. It can get hairy on the football field just as much as it can get hairy in the operating room. Building up my skills as a wide receiver is going to be vital if I am going to go anywhere as a professional athlete. I am going to have to be fast and use my deft hands to be able to catch any pass thrown at me. Well, in Starfleet, I would be adventuring into the unknown and for sure, I am now adventuring into the unknown in the football field.
