Juran Riley has a long road to make it to the DSFL, though he admits he clearly has a more privilege than many people around him. Riley was born to a father who played college football and floated around some practice squads but never made it to the league. His mother was a professional soccer player whose family is from Italy. Riley did have difficulties growing up, as he had to move around to follow his mom as she played, which included a short stint in Europe. He struggled making friends, but this as well as his dads job as an aerospace salesman did mean both his parents were always around, as his dad could up and move much easier in sales. He also recognizes this upper middle class upbringing kept him from negative influences at least.
In high school, both parents decided it was time for stability and they settled down in Colorado, where Riley attended public school. He was a natural athlete and got interest from big schools early on. However, Riley developed issues with anxiety and depression and was hospitalized early on. This scared teams and even his own team, as there are plenty of stigmatization that still exists today when it comes to mental health. He had to transfer to a neighboring school, as he was mostly blacklisted from the varsity team. After his junior year, a couple of offers came back, including nearby University of Colorado. Riley, who was going to therapy and had steady medication, finally broke out. He was Colorado Gatorade player of the year and was given a 5 star ranking. After committing to a rising Colorado program, he eventually helped lead the team to its first ever national championship in his junior season before declaring for the DSFL draft. He shined during the Prospect League and eventually got drafted to the Dallas Birddogs in the 3rd round.

Juran Riley, the former 5 star prospect, feels like he can bring a lot to a DSFL team. He is an electric athlete, and lit up college anchoring an elite Colorado defense en route to a national championship. The edge rusher has great traits as well as production, and he is a born leader. He does have versatility. His true position is on the edge, but he can fill in as a middle linebacker as shown in the prospect bowl. Riley is not a locker room issue and was voted captain two years in a row at the University of Colorado.
What Riley also brings to the league is dedication. He was to grow and learn. He is loaded with potential.
Focusing on outside of the locker room and field, Riley will bring great energy and philanthropy to a city. He loves giving his time back to the community, whether that be through youth camps or food drives. He will just bring a general positive energy.

If the Dallas Birddogs announced that they were tearing down and rebuilding their stadium, Riley would have plenty of ideas.
The first is parking. The team would need to make sure parking is easier than most stadiums, so there will be plenty of ways in and out of each lot. Something that would also be important is to have a handful of electric charging stations in each lot, as the team is forward thinking and climate conscious.
Next, the concessions. The team would offer a state of the art merchandise center, and many different options in terms of food and drink. Of course, there will be plenty of BBQ. But the team would also have a brewery, and diverse international options as well.
In terms of tech, the team will have sections that are futuristic. An ai headset and noise canceling headphones will provide fans the option of having nextgen viewing experiences filled with commentary, advanced stats, and more. The scoreboards be large and in 4K resolution.
