Making a comeback to the ISFL, the Light family faced skepticism going into both the DSFL and ISFL drafts. After Busch Light’s early retirement and seemingly falling off the map, questions swirled about Miller’s ceiling. Could he be an elite player with a long career? The Norfolk Seawolves took a chance on him early in the second round, but what if they did not? If Miller would have gone to another team his career would likely be very different. Miller considered switching to the offensive side of the ball depending on team need in the DSFL. If a WR needy team would have drafted Miller, he likely would have turned into a pass catcher. As a defensive oriented player with subpar hands, Miller would likely have been unsuccessful. The lack of success would have weighed heavy on him, which likely would have lead to an early retirement. Landing on Norfolk allowed Miller to develop as a defensive back, and prepare for a long and prosperous career.
