Best time in the league was probably the first season back in Season 21. I joined part of the Season 22 class that ended up being quite big. Never participated or considered sim leagues before so it was all new and I didn't really know much or anyone around for that matter. Pretty early on a S22 DBs group was created and I was invited to join. It was good having people playing a similar position in together and active to chat with. Initial premise was from FurFurson was having a group and trying to figure out a way to market ourselves and improve our draft stock. Wasn't particularly active in general chat so the S22 DBs chat was probably the one that I looked at the most. Much of the group has left over time, really it's just me and RussDrivesTheBus that are around. While Russ did create a LB (Lawrence Bass), we just thought of him as a big safety. In a fairly large class, it was certainly nice to have a small group to be part and was a pretty big reason for why I stuck around early on.

When Connor Tanners dream of making the pro-bowl came to fruition his rookie year, I had a good feeling about him as a player and as the operator of said player, unfortunately things did not end the way they started and here I am 4 unfinished players looking to finally leave my mark on the league as a player. Dru Freduci was meant to initially be a player that was a re-imagination of what Connor Tanner was going to be, two position changes later he has became his own player and hopefully a good one at that. My fondest memory however would have to be the scouting process I endured with the Cape Town Crash prior to being drafted there, I can only speak incredibly fondly of their professionalism they had with me. I was praying I would be drafted there, but did not expect to go their due to their first pick being used on their own GM, but thankfully they traded for another pick and I managed to fall out of the first round to the benefit of both parties.

Uhh, gang, I’ve only been here for about a month myself. My own history in the league has been quite short, but I suppose you could turn it on its head, and say that I remember everything as if it were yesterday, because it almost has been! Being drafted into the DSFL has to be the number one memory, fond or otherwise, although I definitely am fond of it. Especially with your first character, the excitement of not knowing where you are going to go looms large, and the expectations now are the lowest they are ever going to be, for my future time in the league to shatter them to smithereens! I’m also fond of the conversations I had with rookie mentors and fellow players who guided me down this path of becoming a tight end, as I know I’m going to get a lot of joy watching Kurt Wagner progress. Nothing but optimism from this rookie!

I remember joining way back in S22 with my first player, Daymond Brooks. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I was on the forum trying to figure out what the heck I was supposed to do to make my player good and get drafted. Because I didn’t know how to do an activity check or a point task, I was considered IA. The S22 class was notoriously big, at least top 2 all time. It was a Reddit class so teams were looking high and low for new DSFL blood. 

Anyways, I ended up waiting and waiting and waiting until Minnesota picked me up at 208. They taught me how to earn and I made it up to pick 91 in the S22 ISFL draft. Over ten seasons in the ISFL with Chicago, I was able to hit 1,000+ TPE and make four pro bowls while also winning a DT of the Year, back when there were positional awards. Not bad!

My personal favourite memory has to be Lucius Salem's walk-off touchdown against Colorado in S37. Colorado scored a field goal with 1 minute left in the game to extend their lead to 4 not leaving much of a chance for Sarasota to come back. Sarasota slowly worked their way down with the field but the chances of winning were looking very unlikely until the magnificent play, with 25 seconds left on the clock at their own 39 Carter Knight dropped back and managed to find a wide open Lucius Salem who was wide open in the middle of the field. I remember the locker room loved a walk off touchdown and being the player who scored it made it even more special. I think what made it even more special is that Sarasota seems to have some sort of rivalry with Colorado and some sort of bad luck or sim fuckery usually fucks us against them but this time we were the ones with big play.

My first player, Aqeel Steele, had a pretty forgettable career, to be honest. The only notable thing he did is that he actually currently holds the record for the most tackles in a single playoff game. Unfortunately this happened while I was away from the league so I can't tell you much about it, but I think it's pretty cool. Hopefully, my new player's, SkibidiGyat OhioRizzler, career will be different. I think I've left the majority my legacy in a different corner of the league: ISFL Town of Salem. I've modded almost a dozen games, created custom game roles, introduced the Bozo role in the server, and proposed various buffs and nerfs to certain roles. After going through some past Discord messages, some other things I'm known for are: being very bad with money (my record is a -13m bank account!), and changing my name a lot (haven't changed in a while though, maybe I should change that )

It has been a crazy last couple months and to say its been easy is down playing it quite a bit. The 15th season is a big accomplishment for the league and I am really grateful to be part of such a great league. I have not been in the league all that long but I would say my fondest memory has to be my draft year in the Developmental Simulation Football League. The draft was really fun to see and the draft class was amazing but the best part was every time Bondi Beach Buccaneers picked it was "its time to learn Australian!" That was a great memory for me. The draft kept going and every time it was the same thing Bondi Beach is up and once again it was "Time to learn Australian!" By the 5th time, it was all known what was coming and more and more people would join in.
