The S49 draft class is officially at week 5 in the season, so why don’t we take a look at each team and player to see how things are working out.
One note here is that I would actually put these grades on the players, not the teams. Each player should have the responsibility of making sure they keep active, so the combination of the draft players becomes a grade, but I don’t really fault the teams if they have people that go IA.
Also this is ONLY the draft class. Anyone who has joined since isn’t on this list. I’ll do a better/more complete team recap of the full team later in the season.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bondi Beach
Round 2 Pick 9: Slam Dunkinson (LB)
- Current TPE:160
- Drafted as: DE
Position switched to LB where the stats are, and gaining plenty of TPE, Slam is currently sitting at the top of the defense list with 38 tackles. They’ve also brought 1 TFL, and 3 sacks.
Round 3 Pick 21: Joe Brewer (WR)
- Current TPE:59
- Drafted as: QB
Moving away from QB right away is probably always a good move for a brand new player. But it looks like Brewer hasn’t been active, so sits at 59 TPE. Not too bad for stats, 14 catches for 126 yards and 1 TD. A good filler WR2 or WR3.
Round 4 Pick 29: Julian McMorris II (RB)
- Current TPE:165
- Drafted as: RB
Highest TPE gainer from the S49 class for Bondi, McMorris hasn’t actually had a rush so far. Sitting in the WR spot for Bondi, he’s pulled in 14 catches for 129 yards and 1 TD.
Round 5 Pick 37: Thaal Sinestro (DT)
- Current TPE:123
- Drafted as: DT
Decent TPE, middle of the pack. Sinestro has grabbed 16 tackles, 3 TFLs, and 1 sack so far.
Round 6 Pick 45: Nathan Bodie (DE)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: DE
Inactive already, Bodie has 13 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 Sack.
Round 7 Pick 53: Hal Taylor (OL)
- Current TPE:57
- Drafted as: OL
Another inactive, Taylor has 9 pancakes and 0 sacks allowed. Too bad they aren’t around still, but OL is OL.
Round 8 Pick 61: Bishop Milloy (S)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: S
Milloy was great in the prospect bowl, but never came back. Still, he has 16 tackles and 1 interception on the year.
Overall: Dunkinson, McMorris, and Sinestro were all good grabs, but Bondi still ended up with 4 of their 7 draft picks going inactive.

Dallas
Round 1 Pick 1: Alexander Rockstone (CB)
- Current TPE:194
- Drafted as: CB
Rockstone sits 2nd overall for TPE in the S49 class. For the year, they have 23 tackles, 2 fumbles forced, 2 fumbles recovered, and 5 pass deflections.
Round 1 Pick 5: Zimm Triumph (S)
- Current TPE:99
- Drafted as: S
Started out active, but has gone missing the past couple weeks. Stats kind of show it, as they only have 9 tackles and 2 passes deflected.
Round 2 Pick 13: Tony Chazz (DT)
- Current TPE:153
- Drafted as: DT
Chazz is picking up steam with TPE gains. Their stats aren’t groundbreaking with only 7 tackles and 1 sack, but I really expect that will pick up as they keep pushing their TPE amounts higher.
Round 3 Pick 17: Zack Vega Jr. (QB)
- Current TPE:133
- Drafted as: QB
Vega sits in a solid spot for TPE, and is starting to become a more notable option in the DAL offense. They are completing 53% of their passes, have 349 yards for the year and 2 TDs vs 1 INT. As that TPE goes up, the split DAL has at QB right now might start to shift in their favor.
Round 4 Pick 25: Sweet Sweet Ganjasmoke (RB)
- Current TPE:170
- Drafted as: RB
Strong TPE earner, Ganjasmoke has 50 carries for 193 yards. No touchdowns so far, but those are coming. I expect Ganjasmoke to max out in the DSFL.
Round 4 Pick 31: Nathan Abel (OL)
- Current TPE:75
- Drafted as: OL
Kind of IA? Gaps in earning, but still technically around. Again, OL is OL. 8 pancakes for the year so far, but has allowed 1 sack.
Round 5 Pick 33: Darius Fasttrack (WR)
- Current TPE:71
- Drafted as: WR
Fasttrack started strong, but has disappeared the past couple weeks. The second option at WR for DAL, they have 17 catches for 158 yards and 2 TDs. Not bad at all, but without more TPE, not reliable either.
Round 7 Pick 49: William Metzler (K)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: K
The second DAL kicker due to post-draft position switch request from the league up, Metzler has already gone IA.
Round 8 Pick 57: Gabriel Finley (TE)
- Current TPE:52
- Drafted as: TE
Finley has actually been IA since April. Unfortunate because they have 15 catches and 92 yards already, so the volume is there if only they had the stats.
Round 9 Pick 65: Elijah Williams (RB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: RB
Another IA. Given DAL picked up a waiver RB who is active, Williams is relegated to FB duties.
Overview: Dallas landed 3 very active users, and has a recreate that is coming up as well. Unfortunately, they have 2 very IA players, and 3 mostly IA players. That’s going to hold them down throughout the year without some prime waiver pickups.
Grade: C
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kansas City
Round 1 Pick 3: Devin Mace (OL)
- Current TPE:171
- Drafted as: OL
A majorly active player, and at OL as well. This is a big pickup for KCC, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Devin move onto the ISFL after this year. Has 14 pancakes and no sacks allowed. Those numbers are only going to get better.
Round 2 Pick 11: Douglas Capybara (CB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: CB
IA already, it’s too bad. Capybara is actually pretty good in coverage, with 20 tackles, 2 interceptions and 7 passes deflected.
Round 3 Pick 19: Jonah Wallis (CB)
- Current TPE:91
- Drafted as: CB
Wallis was active there for a bit, but has gone missing recently. 16 tackles and 1 pass defended, hopefully they can come back as there is potential there.
Round 4 Pick 27: Tua Domine (LB)
- Current TPE:185
- Drafted as: LB
Number 3 in TPE for this draft class, this is a future max earner at the ISFL level. A LB stud with 34 tackles (2nd most), 2 TFLs, 1 Sack, 2 Fumbles Forced, 2 Fumbles recovered, and 2 passes defended. Stud pick, stud player.
Round 5 Pick 35: Marshall Von Hildebrand (K)
- Current TPE:172
- Drafted as: K
Look at that TPE go up for this kicker. Actively high TPE number, plus 100% on XPs, 75% on FGs, and has 47 points put up so far on the year.
Round 6 Pick 43: Bauce McSauce (WR)
- Current TPE:57
- Drafted as: WR
Started active briefly, but has disappeared. Has 20 receptions for 174 yards with 1 TD. Had promise, but looks to be headed IA.
Round 7 Pick 51: Klaus Reinhardt (OL)
- Current TPE:86
- Drafted as: OL
Active, but probably more of a mid earner long term with current pace. 6 pancakes so far, but that will grow if they keep gaining stats
Round 8 Pick 59: D Foo (TE)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: TE
IA already. Shame.
Round 9 Pick 67: Michael Knight (WR)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: WR
Another IA right away.
Overview: 3 majorly active players, 2 middle of the pack, and 4 IAs. Better than the two above, but not fantastic
Grade: B-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
London
Round 2 Pick 14: Ajax Sakarias (WR)
- Current TPE:107
- Drafted as: WR
Mid earner so far but has put up the numbers. 22 catches, 283 yards, 4 TDs. Ajax is clearly a focal point in the London offense and will look great as their TPE grows.
Round 2 Pick 15: Kim Yeon-Seok (CB)
- Current TPE:183
- Drafted as: CB
Top 10 TPE earner in the class at #7, Yeon-Seok has been killer in coverage. 21 tackles, 1 INT, and 10 Passes defended. Stud CB for sure.
Round 2 Pick 16: Dexter Morgan (QB)
- Current TPE:184
- Drafted as: QB
Another top 10 TPE earner in the class, Morgan has taken on starting QB duties and turned that into 1000 passing yards with a 62% completion rate, 11 TDs and ZERO (!!) Ints. Morgan has the highest average QB rating of all QBs by 26 points. It’s no surprise that London is doing so well with Morgan manning the offense. You’re going to be hearing this name in the ISFL for years.
Round 4 Pick 30: Lakin Makin (TE)
- Current TPE:118
- Drafted as: TE
Good earner who has caught 11 passes for 138 yards and a TD. Has also added 5 pancakes too. Solid addition to the team.
Round 4 Pick 32: Hot Dam (DT)
- Current TPE:134
- Drafted as: DT
Another higher earner, Dam only has 6 tackles on the year. It will be interesting to see what that number looks like at the end of the season, clearly the stats are going to keep going up.
Round 5 Pick 38: Secret Squirrel (WR)
- Current TPE:143
- Drafted as: WR
Yet another high earner for the London squad, Squirrel has 21 catches for 344 yards and 2 TDs. The combo of Ajax and Squirrel paired with Morgan is deadly on offense. Ultimini needs to be on their radar.
Round 6 Pick 41:
- Baymax (OL)
- Current TPE:144
- Drafted as: OL
How does London have to many top earners? Baymax has 16 pancakes so far, good for 7th. Zero sacks allowed as well.
Round 6 Pick 44: Richard Johnson (OL)
- Current TPE:104
- Drafted as: OL
London finally reached the point where they ran out of top earners. Still, Johnson has 15 pancakes, so London has the #7 and #8 OL for pancakes.
Round 7 Pick 52: David Carson (K)
- Current TPE:57
- Drafted as: K
Was around so very very briefly.
Round 8 Pick 60: Jobin Dean (CB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: CB
IA from the start.
Round 9 Pick 68: Matt K (WR)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: WR
IA from the start.
Overview: 11 picks, of which 5 are top earners, and 3 are right behind them. Only 3 IAs. This is a very solid draft class.
Grade: A
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Minnesota
Round 1 Pick 4: Joe Blaze (LB)
- Current TPE:172
- Drafted as: S
Blaze flipped from Safety to Linebacker, and turned that into 29 tackles, 3 TFLs, 1 Sack, 1 Fumble Recovered, and 1 Pass Defended. Love those Linebacker Stats
Round 1 Pick 6: Benny The Jet (WR)
- Current TPE:134
- Drafted as: WR
A high earner, Benny is the #1 WR in yardage with 464 off 34 catches. They also has 4 TDs. The number 1 option in Minnesota for sure.
Round 3 Pick 22: Duke Silverback (RB)
- Current TPE:142
- Drafted as: DT
I’m guessing Duke moved spots when Kyle went IA, but they have turned 33 runs into 174 yards and 2 TDs. Loving what I’m seeing form Duke so far.
Round 5 Pick 36: Kool Kyle (RB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: RB
IA RB, ouch.
Round 6 Pick 46: Makoa Mahi'ai Jr. (OL)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: OL
IA Lineman.
Round 7 Pick 54: Aaron Youngblood (DE)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: DE
IA DE.
Round 8 Pick 62: Cage Beers (OL)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: OL
IA Lineman. You hate to see it (but they are still useful).
Overview: Rough go for Minnesota, with 7 picks and 4 IAs. Their 3 actives are good, just as a class the rest drag them down.
Grade: C-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Norfolk
Round 1 Pick 2: D'Squarius Green Jr. (TE)
- Current TPE:201
- Drafted as: TE
Your top TPE earner in the S49 class, this Vertical TE has max earner written all over them. Green has 11 passes for 195 yards, and has 5 pancakes. No TDs yet, but given how they will be DSFL maxed soon, those will come.
Round 2 Pick 10: Frosty Steele (LB)
- Current TPE:177
- Drafted as: LB
A Top 10 earner, Steele interestingly isn’t in the same level as the rest of the LBs for stats. 21 tackles, 1 sack, and 2 passes defended. I have to assume there’s a position chart that explains it.
Round 3 Pick 18: Billdozer Dauterive (LB)
- Current TPE:128
- Drafted as: LB
A high earner, and another player LB for Norfolk, Dauterive has 13 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 Sack, and 1 Fumble Forced. I wonder if these two active LBs are sniping stats from each other compared to everyone else.
Round 4 Pick 26: WW Jatt (DT)
- Current TPE:172
- Drafted as: DT
Another top earner, Jatt has 18 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 sack. All great numbers for a DT and Jatt is the #2 DT on the full player list this season so far.
Round 5 Pick 34: William Eaton (S)
- Current TPE:180
- Drafted as: RB
A top earner, Eaton switched from offense to defense and has turned in 17 tackles and 3 passes defended so far. More tackles are coming with their TPE influencing high stats.
Round 6 Pick 42: Kevin Finnerty (TE)
- Current TPE:165
- Drafted as: TE
Another TE for Norfolk, Finnerty has 12 catches for 79 yards, and throws in 8 pancakes as well. A TE tandem happening on the Norfolk offensive line.
Round 7 Pick 50: Anthony Stover (LB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: LB
Was great in the prospect bowl, but never came back.
Round 8 Pick 58: Trae Jones Jr (TE)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: TE
Another TE, this one IA.
Round 9 Pick 66: Ralph Johnson XXVI (RB)
- Current TPE:62
- Drafted as: RB
Was around a little, but seems to have disappeared.
Overview: 9 picks, 5 top earners. 3 IA players. Not a bad haul at all for Norfolk.
Grade: A-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Portland
Round 1 Pick 8: Katya Zamolodchikova (QB)
- Current TPE:176
- Drafted as: QB
Top earner, starting QB. Katya has put up 928 yards on 81 completions with a completion rate of 63%. 7 TDs thrown, but with 5 INTs, they are a work in progress as a passer. They back that up with their legs, however, rushing 29 times for 203 yards. 1000 yards combined is good for only 5 weeks.
Round 2 Pick 12: FTBLLCMR4D RUS-KCKR-001 (K)
- Current TPE:105
- Drafted as: K
The robo-leg themselves, RUS has some work to do on staying active while gaining TPE. It clearly hasn’t affected their kicking, though. RUS is 100% on XPs, and 81% on FGs (2nd highest). They have put up 41 points so far, which really feels like it’s more on the offense than on their kicking ability.
Round 3 Pick 24: Harvin Marrison (WR)
- Current TPE:158
- Drafted as: WR
High earning WR who is just racking up those stats. Marrison has caught 25 passes for 309 yards, and 3 TDs. I said after the pro bowl they were a superstar in the making and I still believe it.
Round 5 Pick 39: Ci Brez (DE)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: DE
IA defensive player. Yuck.
Round 5 Pick 40: Trey Daniels (RB)
- Current TPE:52
- Drafted as: RB
Was around for an activity check only, then decided on Inactivity.
Round 6 Pick 48: Chad Broski (K)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: K
Antoher kicker IA.
Round 7 Pick 56: Walter Melon (CB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: CB
What’s the deal with all the IA CBs? The league needs you!
Round 8 Pick 64: Kentrell King (CB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: CB
Shame King went IA. Their prospect bowl stats were fire.
Overview: When 5 of your 8 picks go IA, it’s a rough draft class. The top is trying their best, but the majority drag them down.
Grade: D+

Tijuana
Round 1 Pick 7: Bazooka Nuttingham (RB)
- Current TPE:114
- Drafted as: RB
The best name and likeness combo, Nottingham is a high earner who is piling on the yards. 214 yards on 29 carries, with 1 TD, they also have 6 catches for 45 yards. All very solid stats.
Round 3 Pick 20: Liggy Jiggy (CB)
- Current TPE:170
- Drafted as: CB
Hey, another active CB! Love to see it. Jiggy has 12 tackles, 1 INT, and 2 passes defended on the year so far.
Round 3 Pick 23: Otto Wolff (K)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: K
What is it with Kickers and going IA?
Round 4 Pick 28: Connor Craig Jr. Jr. (OL)
- Current TPE:184
- Drafted as: OL
I love how many active OL players this class has had. Craig Jr. has 12 pancakes so far, and hasn’t given up a single sack.
Round 6 Pick 47: Oliver Harford (WR)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: WR
Harford wasn’t great in prospect bowl, and not being around isn’t making that better.
Round 7 Pick 55: Kharmoni Woods (DE)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: DE
Woods looked so good in the prospect bowl. Just went IA and everyone passed them up.
Round 8 Pick 63: Jordan Carter (RB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: RB
IA RB. Another ouch.
Overview: 8 picks, half of them IA. Ok class, but nothing special for TIJ.
Grade: C

Class TPE overview
Locked In (150+ TPE) - 21
Active and growing (101 - 149 TPE) - 16
Will they stay? OR Will they come back? (75 - 100 TPE) - 8
Active for like a minute (51- 74 TPE) - 11
IA from start (50 TPE) - 28
Check back in later this season when I pull a list of all rookies (including waiver joins) and maybe talk about what teams might need before the trade deadline.
One note here is that I would actually put these grades on the players, not the teams. Each player should have the responsibility of making sure they keep active, so the combination of the draft players becomes a grade, but I don’t really fault the teams if they have people that go IA.

Yet another high earner for the London squad, Squirrel has 21 catches for 344 yards and 2 TDs. The combo of Ajax and Squirrel paired with Morgan is deadly on offense. Ultimini needs to be on their radar.
Round 6 Pick 41:
- Baymax (OL)
- Current TPE:144
- Drafted as: OL
How does London have to many top earners? Baymax has 16 pancakes so far, good for 7th. Zero sacks allowed as well.
Round 6 Pick 44: Richard Johnson (OL)
- Current TPE:104
- Drafted as: OL
London finally reached the point where they ran out of top earners. Still, Johnson has 15 pancakes, so London has the #7 and #8 OL for pancakes.
Round 7 Pick 52: David Carson (K)
- Current TPE:57
- Drafted as: K
Was around so very very briefly.
Round 8 Pick 60: Jobin Dean (CB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: CB
IA from the start.
Round 9 Pick 68: Matt K (WR)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: WR
IA from the start.
Overview: 11 picks, of which 5 are top earners, and 3 are right behind them. Only 3 IAs. This is a very solid draft class.

Minnesota
Round 1 Pick 4: Joe Blaze (LB)
- Current TPE:172
- Drafted as: S
Blaze flipped from Safety to Linebacker, and turned that into 29 tackles, 3 TFLs, 1 Sack, 1 Fumble Recovered, and 1 Pass Defended. Love those Linebacker Stats
Round 1 Pick 6: Benny The Jet (WR)
- Current TPE:134
- Drafted as: WR
A high earner, Benny is the #1 WR in yardage with 464 off 34 catches. They also has 4 TDs. The number 1 option in Minnesota for sure.
Round 3 Pick 22: Duke Silverback (RB)
- Current TPE:142
- Drafted as: DT
I’m guessing Duke moved spots when Kyle went IA, but they have turned 33 runs into 174 yards and 2 TDs. Loving what I’m seeing form Duke so far.
Round 5 Pick 36: Kool Kyle (RB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: RB
IA RB, ouch.
Round 6 Pick 46: Makoa Mahi'ai Jr. (OL)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: OL
IA Lineman.
Round 7 Pick 54: Aaron Youngblood (DE)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: DE
IA DE.
Round 8 Pick 62: Cage Beers (OL)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: OL
IA Lineman. You hate to see it (but they are still useful).
Overview: Rough go for Minnesota, with 7 picks and 4 IAs. Their 3 actives are good, just as a class the rest drag them down.

Portland
Round 1 Pick 8: Katya Zamolodchikova (QB)
- Current TPE:176
- Drafted as: QB
Top earner, starting QB. Katya has put up 928 yards on 81 completions with a completion rate of 63%. 7 TDs thrown, but with 5 INTs, they are a work in progress as a passer. They back that up with their legs, however, rushing 29 times for 203 yards. 1000 yards combined is good for only 5 weeks.
Round 2 Pick 12: FTBLLCMR4D RUS-KCKR-001 (K)
- Current TPE:105
- Drafted as: K
The robo-leg themselves, RUS has some work to do on staying active while gaining TPE. It clearly hasn’t affected their kicking, though. RUS is 100% on XPs, and 81% on FGs (2nd highest). They have put up 41 points so far, which really feels like it’s more on the offense than on their kicking ability.
Round 3 Pick 24: Harvin Marrison (WR)
- Current TPE:158
- Drafted as: WR
High earning WR who is just racking up those stats. Marrison has caught 25 passes for 309 yards, and 3 TDs. I said after the pro bowl they were a superstar in the making and I still believe it.
Round 5 Pick 39: Ci Brez (DE)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: DE
IA defensive player. Yuck.
Round 5 Pick 40: Trey Daniels (RB)
- Current TPE:52
- Drafted as: RB
Was around for an activity check only, then decided on Inactivity.
Round 6 Pick 48: Chad Broski (K)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: K
Antoher kicker IA.
Round 7 Pick 56: Walter Melon (CB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: CB
What’s the deal with all the IA CBs? The league needs you!
Round 8 Pick 64: Kentrell King (CB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: CB
Shame King went IA. Their prospect bowl stats were fire.
Overview: When 5 of your 8 picks go IA, it’s a rough draft class. The top is trying their best, but the majority drag them down.

Tijuana
Round 1 Pick 7: Bazooka Nuttingham (RB)
- Current TPE:114
- Drafted as: RB
The best name and likeness combo, Nottingham is a high earner who is piling on the yards. 214 yards on 29 carries, with 1 TD, they also have 6 catches for 45 yards. All very solid stats.
Round 3 Pick 20: Liggy Jiggy (CB)
- Current TPE:170
- Drafted as: CB
Hey, another active CB! Love to see it. Jiggy has 12 tackles, 1 INT, and 2 passes defended on the year so far.
Round 3 Pick 23: Otto Wolff (K)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: K
What is it with Kickers and going IA?
Round 4 Pick 28: Connor Craig Jr. Jr. (OL)
- Current TPE:184
- Drafted as: OL
I love how many active OL players this class has had. Craig Jr. has 12 pancakes so far, and hasn’t given up a single sack.
Round 6 Pick 47: Oliver Harford (WR)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: WR
Harford wasn’t great in prospect bowl, and not being around isn’t making that better.
Round 7 Pick 55: Kharmoni Woods (DE)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: DE
Woods looked so good in the prospect bowl. Just went IA and everyone passed them up.
Round 8 Pick 63: Jordan Carter (RB)
- Current TPE:50
- Drafted as: RB
IA RB. Another ouch.
Overview: 8 picks, half of them IA. Ok class, but nothing special for TIJ.
