8. My experience so far has been a complicated one. Lots of learning about where things are on the forum. My first foray into forum updating. A sport I know nothing about, and have very little passion for. A real life that has been so busy, and has kept me completely lost as to what day it is. But my player has done well, Minnesota was very active and always gave me the opportunity to step up and make myself a core member of the group. I didn’t take advantage of that as much as I wanted to, but hopefully whatever happens next season, I’ll be in the position to give it another go. I keep forgetting to actually apply my TPE, I come claim it, make my posts, and then see it gets approved and banked, and then saying I’ll apply it next week, and the same thing happens, I check on a Sunday and boom, I missed it again. Hate to think of how useful that TPE could have been during the playoffs, but I won’t get too hung up on it. There’s quite a few people who came with me over from the VHL, haven’t really checked on them much but we made up a lot of the 2nd and 3rd round. All good earners with a good history in sim leagues, just never really made it out here. Excited to connect with them when I get the chance! Lots of SHL people I recognize, particularly some GMs here that have been around in the places I’ve been in the SHL. Some from my draft class there, nice to start seeing some repeat names that I can actually remember. Really impressed by the amount of scouting that was done for even a lowly 3rd rounder like me, I feel like I talked to basically everyone. Can I remember any of the conversations I had? Not in the slightest, but I remember being impressed with each of them, and their genuine interest in a player like me, just starting out in a new league.
11. Oandon Lolanin was constructed after the VHL announced an affiliation agreement with the ISFL. I knew my day had come, and it was time to expand my horizons once more. I was down a couple sim leagues at the time, and wanted to get my hands dirty again. I had recently re/created in a few leagues, so I was really in the creating spirit. Asked around, tried to figure out how I could stay out of the way of the more active players, and also pick a useful position. Got pointed towards the Offensive Line, and the rest is history. Teams were thrilled to have another earning OL in the ranks, and would have to use one less OL bot. I had no idea at the time that my mere existence would be such a blessing, but I will take the praise where I can get it. Minnesota snapped me up real quick, and got to work training their new prodigy. I earned and earned and earned, trying to get myself to a position to be a solid player as quickly as possible. More joined our ranks, and the draft class started to look pretty good. I fell off a bit, missed a few supplemental tasks, but kept my head high and my fingers typing. The season flies by, we make the playoffs, and then the Finals! I haven’t kept up with the games, and actually haven’t even seen a second of the streams yet, but I racked up 32 pancakes in 13 regular season games, which sounds pretty good to me. I’m still working on what a pancake is, but it sounds fun. If it’s anything as cool as volleyball’s pancakes, it’ll be great for me. Drafted by the Silverbacks, by a management group that’s at least a bit familiar with me, and I’ll be working hard to create a player to fit their needs for a long time to come! Quote:36. 16. My player, Slam Dunkinson, was drafted to BBB during the second round of the last DSFL draft. I created as a DE not really knowing how the sim treated DEs. BBB was in need of a LB so they asked me to switch and after I learned the stats that LBs got, I was more than happy to switch. Being the only LB on BBB and given the ROLB spot, Slam went crazy being tied with the league lead for tackles. They also put up respectable numbers for sacks and TFLs. My player filled the stat sheet almost every week so I enjoyed watching him play and would say most weeks were a highlight seeing Slam help limit opposing offenses. The lowest point was when we played KCC and my player had a DSFL bet for the game of O/U 7 tackles. Since Slam was averaging 8 tackles per game prior to this, I think most people, myself included, slammed the over thinking it was a lock. Turns out KCC wanted to steal money away from everyone else and ran the ball the other way away from Slam all game leading to a stat line of 2 tackles. So my player made himself look silly and lost everyone their casino money leading to a terrible week. Missing out on playoffs in the last week was also a brutal way to go about it. BBB was super close to making it and the sim just didn't go our way the final week so we ended up missing out. Going into next season, we've lost majority of our players to call ups so our offense is going to be a totally different look. We need a new QB and RBs to replace our veteran players going up. Not to mention WRs since we pretty much only had IAs there last season which forced us to run the ball all the time.
14. I think the league should expand because it'd allow more players to play in the ISFL at once leading to a more diverse landscape. For example, more teams may have to play true rookies straight out of the draft as they need to fill holes therefore teams may have lower TPE players at certain positions which forces them to draft/build a team differently. The RoTY award would have more meaning as well and fair. I assume any player who gets called up is considered a rookie whether they were drafted 4 seasons ago or just recently. Therefore, there may be a TPE disparity between rookies in the league so currently higher TPE rookies who may have spent a couple years in the DSFL just have a higher chance to win. With an expansion, more real rookies may be asked to play in the ISFL leading to a better opportunity for newer players to win RoTY awards. The QB position would be more viable as there would be more opportunities for a QB to play on a team thus players may be more open to creating as one. I love the concept of international teams in the league so would love to see more of those. Russia, China, Middle East, Egypt are some areas that we don't have any representation in but would be cool to see more of. Osaka as the first Asian international team was brilliant and as shown, you can get pretty creative with the mascots with international teams so I think more of those would just lead to better team designs. For example, China could have a dragons mascot and Egypt could be mummies or sphinx etc. I also think more international teams would increase the number of people whose hometowns' are international thus creating a better WBC landscape. The idea of having a ISFL/DSFL team in a certain region could certainly spark more people to create a player from that region to fit into a player's backstory.
10. Wow I cannot believe it. Commissioner SouthPaw has a very nice ring to it doesn't it? Well I only have a day so I have to get right to work and make sure that all of my goals get accomplished. These goals might be lofty but, there is no one to stop me. Immediately I would start by getting rid of the need for two separate drafts in this league. I would make sure that there was a partnership between all DSFL and ISFL teams so that rookies would be sent down and immediately drafted to an ISFL team to start. This would allow teams to plug in their rookies sooner and maybe eliminate the awkwardness that happens when players spend so much time with the DSFL squad and then do not fit in well with their ISFL squads. I think it would also encourage teams to stay plugged in with the development of their rookies and give a reason to work closer with DSFL teams. Another rule that I would implement as commissioner to just cause chaos is the addition of a promotion and relegation system in the league. That's right we would change to a league of 8 teams in the top league and then 8 teams would go into League 2. I think that this would lead to a lot of interesting battles and navigation of the teams. This is something that could also help to reduce the amount or the issue with teams that are tanking in the season. It would mean that you always have something to be fighting for and that is great for user retention. I know that there are really no feasible ways that all of these changes happen but, it is always fun to inject a little bit of chaos into the league and I would be really happy and honored to be the one that causes that little bit of chaos.

Every year the town votes for a person who best represents the towns values and also someone who they think can take on the other towns nominees in a bare knuckle brawl. Larton has also been known as one of the toughest and teh fastest in his town and he thinks that is why the people in his town voted for him to represent them in this years "battle royale". Sadly Larton will have to decline the invitation and the award because he has to think of his future in football. With the DSFL draft coming up right around the corner he needs to make sure he focuses on that and also protects his body. He will still gladly give a rousing speech of appreciation and also make sure that he recommends a great replacement to take his place in the Battle Royale! Code: 163 words +2.5 TPE 36. In a very QB needy draft (having 3 mocked in the first round ) and after 4 games there are 2 front runners in this class : Famer who after a poor showing in the first 2 games bounced back incredibly well in the last 2 putting up stats Aaron Rodgers wouldn’t be mad at he’s accurate and prolific
The other being Cannon with only 1 poor performance there is one thing very clear he can score the ball leading the prospect team in touchdowns which is helped by his offensive line which I’ll mention later A sneaky pick is QB no pix who has struggled in the prospect games but as their capped at 50TPE I feel like after the first update he will dramatically improve as a passer and is a serious athlete that can help change and add an aspect to offences who haven’t had this calibre of athlete at QB Running backs Which this draft is filled with power backs there is 1 I would like to highlight Hilnka who averaged 90 yards per game in day 2 and over 4.5 yards per carry he has been a hard nose runner who consistently makes the chains if he can add a bit more speed of work on his hands in the passing game he will be a leading offensive threat in the dsfl and eventually the Isfl Wilder while being the leading TPE back has been quiet over both days maybe after the first update things will be different but at this moment in time 30 yards a game rushing and 1 to 2 catches isn’t helping his draft stock Wideout is fun to look at this draft with some players putting up crazy numbers and some 2’s putting up numbers to show they should be regarded higher and treated like 1’s the guardians have such a problem with Poopington putting up great numbers show his build is effective and OBJr having a fantastic day 2 and was a key contributor to his teams wins .other wideouts to mention are Aztec duo Novak ,wickerd both have put up solid number routinely fighting for top spot on the box score and have made Jack cannons life easier Tight ends have been quiet so far with only 1 I would consider a good prospect it helps that he’s a block TE which is always welcome and wanted by teams this being Fraudiola OLine I’ll be speaking about them as term as units and will mention the top 2/3 prospects on each team Aztecs have the most complete OLine with 37 pancakes over day 1 and only adding to it in day 2 top prospects Holden Affart, Okuyasu Nijimura and Jordan Drapal Guardians have a solid OLine only allowing 2 sacks over 4 games lead by tackle Confurius DeThwilson this group boasting the likes of Eric Cartman & Chunky Campbell Soup has preformed sneakily well keep qb Famer jersey clean which you love to see but have failed to open up running lanes for the back to have a good day at the office And finally baja they have done the opposite of the guardians carving massive holes for their back having multiple games of 140+ rushing yards and have yet to give up a sack their top prospect are Feka Ohi Kau,joey Sabel and Special shout out to traffic cone as it’s a top 3 name for his position in my opinion in the whole league This is just my thought on offensive prospects based on prospects bowl stat show how good their build is at the moment combined with TPE gained I have took activity in discord into account but don’t hold so much weight into it as they can become more active after the draft and make up for lost time |
