The Berlin Fire Salamanders are blessed with a rather unique branding that allows for a clear and obvious candidate as mascot which is what gave birth to the concept of Sally the Salamander. Sally can be seen running along the side of the field during games, firing a flamethrower into the air when the Fire Salamanders make a big play such as a clutch first down or an interception. When the team score a touchdown Sally runs up the stairs to the top part of the stadium and fires off fireworks over the field leading to quite the spectacle. Although the nightmare of those interested in health and safety, Sally has quickly become a fan favourite and a figure that massively enhances the experience of every fan who attends the game. Sally is known for being an antagonistic figure to those who might be a fan of the team the Salamanders are playing also, finding them in the crowd and going up to them to rub it in if Berlin score points; this has led to some tense encounters in the past but thankfully security have been able to stop anyone being able to hurt him so far.
