JDC’s Dynasty Waiver Wire Picks
S50 Week 2
With the waiver wire being an option in Dynasty, let’s take a look at some potential pickups for your team in ISFL Week 2.
1. Colorado Yeti Defense
In one of the most dominate games we have seen in recent memory, the Colorado Yeti impressed the league with a 57-6 win over the Orange County Otters. While the Yeti offense had an incredible game (4 passing TDs, 2 rushing TDs), the defense also proved formidable. The defense had 5 sacks, 2 interceptions, 1 safety, and 1 defensive touchdown in week 1 which gave them 33.4 points. Yes, the Colorado defense leads the entire dynasty in week 1 points. Time will tell if this was just due to a poor performance by the Otters or the Yeti do have an incredibly strong defense.
The Colorado Yeti Defense is available in 6 out of 7 leagues.
2. Neil Bonnet - Tight End - Osaka Kaiju @MMAJAKE710
In Osaka’s one point loss to Sarasota, Bonnet was the most targeted receiver on the field (8) for this squad. Bonnet ended the game with 6 receptions for 38 yards and 1 touchdown. He also proved reliable in the pass blocking game where he totaled 3 pancakes, which tied for the most pancakes for the Kaiju in this game. With 21.8 points in week 1, Neil Bonnet currently sits as the #14 leading scorer in all of dynasty. Bonnet is an S45 player with 735 TPE as of this writing.
Neil Bonnet is available in 4 out of 7 dynasty leagues.
3. Katya Zamolodchikova - Quarterback - Colorado Yeti @fnordypsyduck
Going back to the Colorado theme, #69 Katya Zamolodchikova had an incredible showing in their S50 Week 1 debut. The last game in S49, Katya threw for 143 yards and 3 interceptions. But here in the S50 opener, Katya impressed with 258 yards and 4 passing touchdowns to earn 22.3 dynasty points. Katya seemed to have progressed very well in the offseason and could prove to be the answer for Colorado moving forward. Katya is an S49 player and currently sits at 559 TPE. There is definitely opportunity for dynasty owners to invest in Colorado’s quarterback for the foreseeable future.
Katya Zamolodchikova is available in 4 out of 7 dynasty leagues.
4. Diego Lopez de Castilla - Wide Receiver - Osaka Kaiju
Revisiting Osaka’s narrow loss against Sarasota, wide receiver Diego Lopez de Castilla proved to still be a viable option in their passing game. Earning 5 receptions from 5 targets, 97 yards, and 1 receiving touchdown, Diego put up 20.7 fantasy points and lands at #17 on the current dynasty leaderboard. Diego does have some competition in that receiving room with Neil Bonnet and Sem’gah Nah’sim so we will closely monitor this situation.
Diego Lopez de Castilla is available in 3 out of 7 dynasty leagues.
5. Klaus Reinhardt - Offensive Line - Sarasota Sailfish @Middy
Rookie Klaus Reinhardt looked like a hardened veteran for Sarasota in their win against Osaka. The new offensive lineman put up 10 pancakes and 0 penalties to earn 20 points in week 1. This matched #1 preseason ranked teammate Swantavius Stack in week 1 stats. Klaus is an S49 player with currently 372 TPE. We will keep an eye to see how being in the same OL room as Stack will affect their stats going forward but if any dynasty player is looking for an OL of the future who has already shown out in week 1, Reinhardt may be a great target.
Klaus Reinhardt is available in 7 out of 7 dynasty leagues.
