Darrel Williams after one(and a few games) season in the DSFL and nine seasons in the ISFL has decided to retire at the ripe age of 33. While Darrel was never able to sustain his success from his one full season in the DSFL with the Grey Ducks, two(and maybe three) pro bowls are nothing to scoff at.
I'm really thankful for the Grey Ducks entrusting me with their #1 overall selection, and happy I gave them an Ultimini for it, and for the Hawks, Yeti, and Liberty for all being hospitable locker rooms and strong teams.
Darrel will head back to Louisiana and become an assistant coach at his old high school, with high aspirations of becoming the head coach of the LSU Tigers. In other news, a new quarterback should be emerging shortly...
I had my ups and downs with Darrel, but overall it was a decent career. I am very excited to begin the next chapter with my new player, and hopefully he can lead an ISFL team to glory, something Darrel was never able to achieve.
