We’d like to wish our retiring Butchers a happy retirement and send them out with a list of some of their accomplishments!
KP Sam Sidekick (S22-S32) - One of my favorite users when we were drafted to CHI together, Evok was the woman behind the man that is Sam Sidekick. Sidekick is far and away the best kicker and best punter the butchers have ever seen. Sidekick’s percentages took a dip this season in his old age, but don’t let that sour your opinion on his outstanding career with the Butchers. She holds nearly every kicking stat record for the franchise, so let’s take a look at some of Evok’s league records with Sidekick:
League Records
#7 league XPM
#3 league FGM
#5 FGM <20yd
#3 FGM 30-39yd
#2 FGM 20-29yd
#1 FGM 50+yd
#2 total punts
#3 total punt yards
#2 punts inside the 20
Franchise Records
All of em
WR Luca Scabbia (S24-S32) - I don’t think Enigmatic realized this until I told her the other day, but Scabbia nearly caught O’Leary’s franchise records. If Luca had one more season left, I think it could’ve been done! Scabbia’s entire career was spent in CHI, so it’s going to be very weird not to see them on the field. Here are some of Enig’s accomplishments with Scabbia:
Franchise Records
#2 CHI career receptions (only 4 behind O’Leary)
#2 CHI career receiving yards (<1k behind O’Leary)
#9 CHI average yards per catch
#2 CHI career touchdowns (ONE behind O’Leary)
#1, #2, #3, and #6 highest reception seasons in CHI history
#2, #4, #5, and #10 highest receiving yard seasons in CHI history
Tied for #2 highest receiving TD season in CHI history
OL Julio Jones (S24-S32) - S26-S28, S32 with CHI - The OL so nice that he signed with us twice. Jones joined us in free agency in S24 and was immediately one of the best OL in the league. We may have traded him away a few seasons later, but he just couldn’t get enough of us and signed with us in free agency again for his final season this year. Jones never won any awards, but he was a finalist for the OLotY award for many seasons! Here are some of his accomplishments:
Franchise Records
#2 CHI career pancakes (and #5 ARI career pancakes!)
#5 and #9 highest season CHI pancake totals
And if you ask him, he'll tell you that he's the only OL in ISFL history to never give up a sack...
