The New York Silverbacks have missed the playoffs but that isn’t stopping Sean Robinson to keep putting in the work. For sean, the offseason starts now and he is getting more time to put in work than the playoffs teams that are fatigued and don’t get much rest. Robinson plans to elevate his route running over the offseason in hopes of getting a bigger role on the stacked Silverbacks receiving core. Mara and McHollywood look to have the 2 WR spots at the moment for NYS but Sean is looking for one of those spots in the coming seasons. He thinks he has what it takes to be a premiere WR in the ISFL and thinks he’s one of the best rookie wideouts in his class despite his draft position. Speed is another thing Robinson wants to improve on. If Robinson can work on his speed and route running this offseason, he will be a force to be reckoned with in S42.
So I'm not going to lie, it's a bit of a bummer that coming down to the last little bit of the season with only 1 game remaining it looks like we're basically out of the playoffs with no hope of continuing our season after the next game against the Seawolves. So really I'm not doing much to up my game at this point. Like there's not really much more that I can do to distinguish or separate myself this season as I think I've already done most of all that I can for the team to this point. Currently I rank fifth in the DSFL in receiving yards and I have seven touchdowns on the year so I think I've proven that I'm a capable receiver. Would I have liked to have been the top receiving in the league? Sure, but that's not what happened so I'll just have to live with fifth and I'm perfectly ok with that and where we've ended up.

Leading up to the final few weeks in the regular season, Mo Gago didn't really do too much different to try and help his team clinch the playoff spot. And that's not a knock on Mr. Gago, as he still wanted to win these final games to help make the playoffs, and hopefully that 2nd championship. But instead it's mostly a thing about Mr. Gago being strong at keeping up with the traditions he has had all season and being a stuck with these habits. But there is one thing Mo Gago did do this season in hopes to have a bigger impact on the field, and in turn help get into the playoffs for the Wraiths. And that one thing that Gago did before the season and during the season, was switched up his diet. You see being a defensive tackle before last season, Gago would eat a lot of calories, and sometime for that it would be foods that are fried. But this season, Gago cut out all the fried food from his diet, in fact cut back a lot of stuff from his diet, and instead went for a high protein Mediterranean diet, which from the looks of things has done well for his on-field performance.

Well, I am down to elevate my game as best as I can, but sitting at 1-15, I don’t think there is much New Orleans can do to make the playoffs. That said, we are all still professional athletes out here. We will give it our best no matter what. I am of the opinion that players never buy into the tanking, because there is so much on the line for future deals. I am going out there to kick as many field goals possible, and the longest punts ever. My motivation hasn’t waivered despite the writing on the wall. We realize why management is making their decisions, and as a team, we have bought into the future plan for the team. Thus, we just go out there and try to put on the best individual performances we can and hope for the best. The sun will still rise after this dark, like it always does. We can only control our own performances, and for that, I’m kicking like I’ve always been kicking.

I meticulously study my previous performances and game footage to identify areas where I can improve. This involves closely reviewing my plays, studying opponents' strategies, and analyzing my strengths and weaknesses. Recognizing the need for an extra edge, I have incorporated specialized workouts into my training regimen. These workouts focus on enhancing my speed, agility, strength, and endurance. I am working closely with trainers and coaches to design targeted exercises that address my specific needs and position requirements. Football is not just a physical game; it also requires mental resilience and focus. To sharpen my mental game, I am engaging in activities such as meditation, visualization, and positive affirmations. I'm also working with sports psychologists and mental performance coaches to develop strategies to stay calm, composed, and focused during high-pressure situations. Finally and as normal In addition to analyzing my own performances, I am studying game film of upcoming opponents. This allows me to gain insights into their strategies, tendencies, and weaknesses, enabling me to make better decisions on the field and exploit their vulnerabilities.
With the news that the Cape Town Crash are securely in the playoffs, Jason Steele has been quietly preparing for the possibility that his number might be called in the upcoming weeks. While the second round pick has only started in four of the Crash's games this season, he managed to contribute nine tackles and a surprising four sacks. While it is unlikely Steele will play a major role in the playoffs this season, it is a fantastic opportunity for the rookie to get some firsthand experience under the bright lights. Lately Steele has been working on hand drills in order to improve hand eye coordination, in addition to working on improving his endurance. Everyone is tired and beat up this time of year, and only the most prepared stand a chance at winning the Ultimus. Jason Steele is doing everything he can in order to be there for his team, should the time come. Perhaps Steele can find redemption this season after his disappointing season on the Coyotes.
In just a few weeks, Mary Marie and the Bondi Beach Buccaneers will have to take the long trip to Tijuana to face the Luchadores in the DSFL playoffs. In preparation, Marie, in her role as player general manager, has done her best to prepare the team for the daunting matchup. She's been doing her best to help RE #38 watch film of the elite Luchadores secondary, and has been working with the Buccaneers defense to prepare for the Lloyd Bannings to Benji Aguilera connection. On her own time, she's been doing her best to eat and sleep well, which is no easy thing when there's so much work to be done!
All of that, which I have just described, was Mary Marie's plan to prepare for the critical playoff matchup against the Tijuana Luchadores. Despite her efforts, however, she was nevertheless drawn into a 3 day long escapade with many of her closest friends and ex-girlfriends. When she should have been preparing her team, she was instead raving in San Juan. When gameday would arrive, Marie would only barely even make it into Tijuana. It would take great discipline to steel herself for the game itself...
Outlaw Mode Sicko is adopting a familiar method to try and lock himself in for the upcoming stretch run and playoffs. this is a tactic he picked up from his longtime teammate Louis Blondin @Gordon Bombay who swore by the high-protein insect diet in advance of games. Blondin would always eat a more culturally typical diet from Sunday to Thursday of a game week, but on Friday and Saturday he would eat a bunch of creepy crawlies like millipedes and centipedes and worms and grubs and such. He swore by it and was adamant that it brought his game to a higher level. Outlaw Mode Sicko was always skeptical and a bit turned off of the idea of eating a bunch of bug but Blondin always played so well on the field that he decided to try it out. In fact, Sicko is typically so bad at football (cornerback btw) that at this point it couldn't hurt to try something new. So this week leading up to Week 16 he's trying some different bugs out and hopes it brings him great success out there on the field.
Oh boy! Here we are, the home stretch of season 41. The Colorado yeti are 6-10 and well… there’s some work to do! Orlando Doom has been seen recently practicing his kick almost twice as much as the first half of the season, and trying all sorts of cooky holistic recovery methods to keep his body in tip top shape. Some were awesome (he loves his goat yoga sessions) and some were not (he wasn’t a fan of ice baths.) Doom has stated that his new workout regimine is pretty intense too, and that he’s hopeful all his time in the gym will pay off for him in the last few games this season. He’s upped his working weight on his Romanian dead lifts (which for him are really just regular dead lifts,) Bulgarian split squats, and his leg presses. And, whether he likes it or not, his stair master usage is through the roof! Hopefully all of this pays off!
