In the recent days as some of you know, Ireland had to deal with a pretty bad storm in terms of our recent history. Visiblity was pretty much zero and for a Lavelle travelling hom it was an overall horrendus experience for all. He aimed to get the first flight home friday night after the Yellowknife double header (both losses /shrug) but to his dismay the entire country of Ireland was on lockdown, no flights in or out. Lavelle unfortuanetly had to stay in the Yellowknife airport which isn't exactly famous for its comfortability and excellent service. You see in Yellowknife there are no cushioned seats or carpet in the airport, just tough wooden benches which underneath lies metal sheet flooring. In order to save money on a daily basis, heating in the airports are only active for a mere 2 hours a day meaning it often drops below 10'c often. After what seemed like an entire day of disturbances and waiting Lavelle finally got onto his flight home....only to end up stuck in knock airport with no way of exit untill the following monday due to the ongoing blizzard.
