Disclaimer. Not all of these will be my ideas. Some are. Others are ideas that I've been a part of discussing. Even more are ideas that have been brought forward by others. This is just an amalgamation of all of that.
ADDED
I want to add incentives for teams trying to sign free agents. Things like lifting the ban on performance bonuses come to mind. Giving the gm's of the lowest team in each conference a little something extra to use on players for the following season, whether that be uncapped salary money or extra TPE they can give to signees or both. Allowing teams to structure contracts however they see fit as long as they hit the right total (ie, if you're required to pay them 2 mill for 3 seasons, you're fine however you do it as long as you hit 6 mill over the course of the contract). Consolation picks for teams that lose big players in free agency. I want to add legal tampering during the last season of the contract, ie the same time that the player's current team can negotiate with them. Or some version. I think players moving around the league a little more will be good in the long term.
I also want to add more options for players to individualize. Imagine having the option of uncapping one skill for the life of the player and choosing between several set skills to set you apart. Imagine being able to wait an extra season in the DSFL (or NCAA) to declare for the NSFL draft without incurring regression (or at a lowered rate which I literally just thought of during that sentence). Imagine having more equipment choices and more levels to choose from (albeit probably with the higher levels being less efficient for growth).
Also, random other things I want to add:
-More TPE for fantasy wins
-Allowing players to announce retirement at any time and their players can keep playing until their next player is drafted into the NSFL.
-THE YOUTUBE PROJECT
-Some offseason activity that actually gets people together
-All the contract stuff the GMs/HOs/TC have been debating
REMOVE
Its difficult to say I want to remove specific things in part because of my position as HO. I put great effort into carefully trying to figure out the effects and consequences of each choice. So in most cases I end up finding reasons to alter rather than remove things. There are however specific things I'd like to remove for various reasons.
The 1 hour limit on podcast payment. It's dumb. It serves no purpose. It gains us nothing. It's existence has the same value of the law in California that says you can't shoot whales from your car. Yes that's real. Let's give people the opportunity to do more. I feel like this limit has negated a lot of possible content, especially given how much of a podcat's meat is time sensitive. There's no point in discussing stuff from this week's topics in next week's show.
I'd like to remove the ambiguous wording from the rulebook and guidelines. So much of it simply creates headaches. We just had an issue because a rule about regression says something about the numbers counting when the percentages are posted. Thus, when a member of HO innocently posted about which players would be going into regression in the offseason and reminded everyone that it would be 20%, it technically triggered the rule. it wasn't even the end of the season yet. That kind of stuff is why some handsome devil wrote and championed the rule allowing for rules to be changed during the season, but we need to go over the rulebook with a fine tooth comb and figure out all the ways someone could misuse it or (far more likely in my experience here) simply think they were following the rules all along.
My biggest goal right now though is removing a week from the offseason. That's probably the best we can hope for, but I think it can be done.

I like Dermot. He works so goddamn hard you guys. I mean, lots of people do, but shout out to the Commish who rarely gets 1/2 the love he deserves. I like the Werewolf game currently going on. I like my LR in New Orleans. I like that I got to meet @tlk742 the other day. That was fun. I like the Hall of Fame things that are coming around the corner. I like getting drunk and writing random media. I like the passion people have for the league. I like that the HO/GM can be filled with vicious arguing (and it is pretty regularly) but you wouldn't know it form the outside because at the exact same time, the same people could be memeing their asses of in the league's general discord and goofing off. I like the name Young Spaghetti. That shit's hilarious. I like people having fun and helping that process. I like that the whole league is about to turn upside down with the 3R's (regression, retirement, recreate) and all the things that are happening in the next few seasons. I like the entire sim sport hobby. I like that a 5-9 team could theoretically win the title under a brand new GM and CoGM. That would be WILD. I like MY MAN Bovo. I like playing Barry of the North, asshole Bard. I like that as GM I never traded a major player to Orange County (suck it!). I like the idea of @timeconsumer and I eventually doing an actual drunken commentary team PBP on some games for a sim day. I like that so many avenues are still open here. And most of all...I like you. Like....almost all of you. PEOPLE FROM AGES 14-40, MEN AND WOMEN, FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, AND MANY DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS. I love that no one is even surprised I just accidentally capped that and a not going back to change it. I like saying pound sign and like 6 people will nod their heads.
