(S8) - PT 2 - Memorial Day

Valentine is not big into holidays especially Memorial Day since Memorial Day is a holiday that I never celebrated when I was younger, but when I grew up I started to appreciate the day more. All that Memorial Day meant to me when I was younger was that there was no school. Nobody in my family is a veteran, so it is not a big holiday in my family. I have never celebrated Memorial Day for the first 15 years of my life. While I was born in Minneapolis half of my family was from Canada so the holiday was very scarcely celebrated. But over the years I learned more about what people went through and what happened in war that I learned to appreciate it more. Although the Holiday doesn't mean much for my family, Valentine will be having a BBQ with is family and will be heading downtown and to the university campus to celebrate. I plan to eat a lot to bulk up for the upcoming DSFL season. Hopefully I will see a lot of people celebrating and will be able to join. I plan to make a tradition to celebrate Memorial Day every single year to come, even thought it doesn't mean much for my family.
