Stormblessed Speaks Out Against Collusion in NSFL Head Office
Yesterday was a very interesting day in the NSFL for many reasons. The league office was subject to intense criticism by its member base surrounding some of the policies around training and the way the league is currently handling money. In an open forum setting, the mood was described as “intense” and at times “confrontational.”
League officials were at times evasive when answering questions and at other times accused of giving false answers to placate the tense crowd. A player who asked to remain nameless gave this quote “can someone make heads or tails of what happened today? I’ve replayed the day in my head several times and I still can’t figure it out. (Commissioner Josh) Garden, in particular, seemed to pick and choose what questions he answered and COMPLETELY ignored the collusion question.”
Yes, that’s right. There were whispers amongst the crowd all morning about the 8 extra hours Garden received as a result of a ‘random’ predictions quiz. To put that in context, 8 hours is around a week and a half of extra training time – this is quite significant.
Stormblessed eventually asked Gordon point blank about this and was ignored, Garden’s response was simply that it wouldn’t happen in the future.
