After finishing the preseason 2 and 2, the otters look back and try to see where they went wrong in the last 2 games. There has been some controversy surrounding the Otters choice to keep 3 Quarter Backs on the roster has caused a lot of discussion. Boss was played in the first two games and came out with wins after pretty good performances, while Hunt and Bercovici split the last two games and didn't get into the same rhythm as Boss did. It could just be a small sample size, but so far it looks like Boss is winning the first QB job.
On the receiving end of the ball, the Otters have been running with 2 Wide Receivers through the pre-season and appear to be limiting some of their options. While Westfield and Phelps have been great, it would open up more options if they could slot another receiver in. Phelps ended the preseason with the 2nd most receiving yards, behind Stormblessed. Some believe that the QB battle was part of the reason for the drop off in Phelps' production in games 3 and 4 of the pre-season. If Orange County can solve the QB debate and get a 3rd wide receiver to run short routes, they could have the offense to back up their already strong defense.
