Your ability to produce statistics is not solely based on you. Look at Philippe Carter for us last season, she lead the league in PDs and hasn't earned a TPE since like S4. But, she is next to a very strong corner in Dermot, two elite safeties in Hardrool and Taylor, a solid LB unit and a solid DL. They're working together to create something. Some people just get the poo poo stats in the defense. Taylor led the team in sacks two seasons ago but this year, to be quite frank his stats were atrocious, but he still helped the team to number 1 PPG defense.
The grief I have is that I'm already a minus player, even though I earn as much TPE as possible, make an effort to have the best build (mostly listening, but started doing my own projections too) and this change makes it almost for nought. Is it me being unreasonable about this fact?
Maybe there is a light there, but I feel really on the short stick of this archetype changes. Good luck playing CB, but with moves like this I guess even fewer players will be happy to play this position and the proposals that I saw in last few seasons to replace the defensive line with bots might be needed.
These moves are extremely minor in the long haul. They might affect 2-4 PDs, and 0.5 INTs per season per player, and that's the max players. The starting values weren't changed, so it only affects the upper echelon.
I really think you just need to give it another shot, with a better DL this season you might produce more. You also know from PBE that TPE != production. Why is Ovechkin still good? Why did MacDonald invest like 40 TPE and he went into a slump? We don't have all the answers but we are trying to make the game better for everyone overall.
