A player that hasn't been mentioned yet that I believe is worthy of the Hall of Fame is Mat Akselsen. Akselsen has played two different positions, offensive line and quarterback, and has consistently been a top player in the league at both of the positions as he has made the pro bowl in 7 of his 8 seasons. He is also responsible for one of the best seasons in NSFL history in Season 7 as he won Quarterback of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and both MVP awards all in one year as he also set a record for the most fantasy points by a player in a single season. His play as a quarterback has led to great team success as he has made the playoffs in all five of his years as a quarterback while leading the Wraiths to three championship appearances and one championship and tying the regular season wins record in Season 7 with a 13-1 finish. The most compelling part of Akselen's Hall of Fame case is his playstyle. Akselsen is the first mobile quarterback to succeed in the NSFL. He switched to quarterback at a time when the most prominent example of a mobile quarterback was Nicholas Pierno's rookie season, which was the worst passing season in NSFL history. However, Akselsen still went ahead with choosing the mobile quarterback build and showed every body that a mobile quarterback can not only be viable, but can be the best player in the NSFL. Akselsen has a special place in history as the first quarterback to be a true threat both through the air and on the ground and the first player to show the true potential of mobile quarterbacks. Due to his revolutionary playstyle combined with his consistent success, I believe that Mat Akselsen should be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the conclusion of his career.
