Being a professional athlete means that Owen Taylor has always taken a keen interest in exercise equipment. He’s always looking to the next big exercise fad or piece of equipment for a way to gain a leg up on the competition. Because this is so well known in the exercise community, companies looking for an investment often come to him to pitch their next big thing. Usually, Taylor says no, but twice he has sad yes. Once was a massive the success. Bowflex approached him about their adjustable weight barbell with was widely called one of the better exercise inventions since 2000. The second time he invested in a product though… not so much. Have you ever heard of the Tug Toner? Maybe you have, it was a huge internet sensation for a couple weeks, but not for a good reason. It’s an interesting device that actually delivers a pretty good upper body exercise, but Taylor was bling to one small thing. When using the device it looks rather…lewd. You know what, just look it up on YouTube.
