Its a precedent that was set by 5 people no longer in charge almost a full year ago. You also have to look at the relative precedent overall. The ruling was put back to 50 TPE and suspension for the rest of season, but the actual effect of the ruling was removal of all unearned TPE and suspension of 4 games. Thats still different, but the precedent hasnt changed a ton, just really got rid of the suspension part
For what its worth, I wish the CarmelGate ruling never happened, it was a crappy thing for the league
