Whoops. Forgot.

Season 4 - 9-5 Record, TIED with OCO for 2nd, lost out on tiebreakers to make the playoffs.
Season 5 - 8-6 Record, TIED WITH Arizona for 2nd, lost out on tiebreakers to make the playoffs.
Season 6 - 11-3 Tied for first on records with Arizona, Lost on a last second play to OCO in the playoffs.
Season 7 - 5-9 TIED with Arizona for 2nd, lost out on tiebreakers to make the playoffs.
San Jose almost made the playoffs, AFTER trading away both Sharpei and Miller in season 7. That was when CK and I decided (then I stepped down as CO) that it was time to trade away the older pieces and start to rebuild. Bayley was then traded the next season.
Yeah, You right, San Jose has been to the playoffs only once. I don't discredit you there, but to say in a state of constant rebuild? You are completely wrong. IIRC timeconsumer even said himself when he started simming that season 5/6 San Jose was a scary good team.
Go look back at the team's records, Season 4, 9-5 3rd best in the league behind Arizona and Orange County. Season 5, tied with Arizona, Philly, and Baltimore.
So do a little history, before you just spurt out dumb responses like a "constant state of rebuild" etc.
Okay, so would you rather I have said that the best SJS has ever managed out of a rebuild was a single one and done in the playoffs before collapsing again? I thought I was being generous by counting this as one long rebuild rather than just your third failed attempt to even fucking APPEAR in an Ultimus. SJS is the only team that can't make fun of the Baltimore Hawks (which probably explains the poor morale).
Go back and look at your post. You put "TIED" for second in all caps, like being 2.5 out of 4 is this amazing brag. Also, the random words in caps is MY thing, asshole.
Do me a favor. When did SJS's most recent rebuild begin? Was it this year, with the trading away of Pennington? If so, that means that S8 was a previous rebuild. And I know S2-S3 was a rebuild, since I remember that with the unloading of Cook and Hackett. So should I just count this as San Jose's third rebuild, with the previous two being failures? Or, is this still the second rebuild, meaning that three years in, you are still the worst ASFC team?
I really wasn't trying to be an asshole with my team summaries. I gave, I feel, a pretty accurate assessment of what to expect with every team. San Jose's record with rebuilds is a huge red flag, and, given the same person is in charge, that history should count against them.
To be fair, being an ASFC team is not easy. The NSFC has been a lot more interesting in how teams have gone back and forth, whereas ASFC just changes hands from one powerhouse to another. But you have to have some kind of plan to succeed. I think ARI will be a fringe playoff team in S12, and am confident they will make the playoffs in S13. When is SJS gonna be back? When will they be good? You have a top quality FA here who might be swayed. Make your case.
