Axel Hornbacher use to collect things like many other boys growing up. He use to collect cards for every sport: basketball, baseball, football, and even soccer! He would spend all of his lunch money growing up on these cards and collecting as many as possible. Hornbacher loved collecting NSFL cards when they were available through the official NSFL shop. He had quite a few cards from back in the day and even had special cards like the gold Vincent Draxel and Jameis Christ along with a silver Mike Boss. That was one of his favorite cards since Mike Boss was just entering his prime and competing with the Arizona Outlaws. The best card in his collection was the limited edition Carmel Gibson. This card was extra holographic and heavy for some reason and they only made a few during its run so that made it even more valuable for Axel to have in his collection. With how Gibson left the league, that shot the value of the card up by 300 percent minimum. Axel even loved having a Francis Lamoreux despite the controversy surrounding the printing of his card. He still keeps those cards to this day and hopes to one day to get his own.
