Jordan von Matt didn't have a great time in the DSFL. He felt that he was deserving of a lot more play time, and was overshadowed by other wide receiver prospects that didn't end up panning out. He was drafted by the Kansas City Coyotes, and he was never the #1 receiver at his position. He would have loved to see if he could have broken any records in the DSFL, especially the single season receiving yards record. Everything ended well though, as he did gain some much needed experience to prepare himself for the NSFL, a much more difficult league that had its own challenges to deal with. Jordan used this experience as a slot receiver in the number 3 position to transition to the NSFL with the Philadelphia Liberty. Understandably, Jordan wasn't the best receiver that the Liberty had, but since he was used to playing in the slot, he still had a very successful rookie season. Cut to this current season, Jordan finished with the 4th highest receiving yards and the 2nd most receiving touchdowns. He even spent some time returning kicks to help his team get better field position. Jordan looks back on his time in the DSFL and wonders what could have been, but it was still a good experience overall.
