Quenton Bode is a simple bear, so his pre-game ritual is simple as well. He wakes up an hour earlier than he normally does, after having gone to bed early the night before. He takes a hot shower, eats a large breakfast, then starts reviewing that day's opponent--watching game film, studying their habits and tendencies, and rereading the Marshals' game plan. Bode always has a book with him, so before he leaves his home (or the hotel, if the team is on the road), he reads a chapter in whatever book he's got with him, then packs it in his bag. When asked why he does it, he said, "I feel like it gives my mind a break from all the football stuff, and lets it process that information a bit better. Plus, I just like to read."
He leaves with plenty of time to get to the stadium, whether the game is at home or away. When he arrives, Bode makes sure to get in a light workout, just to get warmed up and primed for the game ahead. He meets with the training staff and medical team, to make sure that his body is good to go. He reads a little bit more, then gets in another light workout. After that, he gets suited up and goes around to each of his teammates, making sure that they're just as ready as he is to go out and win a game for the Marshals.
