Season 14 of the DSFL has put Franklin Armstrong in the national spotlight. Many are enamored with the story of an 11th round draft pick at the QB position taking the league by storm. He’s currently near the top or at the top for stats like completions, passing yards and passing TDs. While he’s been in the spotlight, Armstrong isn’t really made for the cameras. I managed to snag an off camera interview with the young gun, for a casual discussion about life in the DSFL. Armstrong is a man of routines, and we got a chance to talk about his game day routine.
“Well I try to keep it like any other day. I wake up early, shower, grab a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios and keep an eye on the DSFL network. I actually quite like watching the DSFL network every morning, which might be odd but I have fun listening in on the game day narratives and chatter. When it comes to home games, I always make sure to take public transit here in Portland on the way to the stadium. I actually get noticed while sitting in the bus halfway through this great season we’re having, but it was certainly different in the first couple weeks!”.
And there you have it. A simple routine for a seemingly simple guy. The Portland Pythons are in high spirits after an exhilarating win over the undefeated Marshalls. The juggernaut rolls on, with Armstrong leading the way! (247 words).
