Quenton Bode has always had a dream of appearing on the screen, whether in a film or as a guest on a TV show. However, as a bear, his options are a little limited: The Walking Dead didn't want a zombie polar bear, the Game of Thrones reboot thought that three polar bear white walkers would be too much, and the company behind Frozen 4: Freezer Burn has a long-standing "anti-bear" policy. Bode was beginning to lose hope that he'd get a chance to show off his acting abilities.
It was a big surprise, then, when the Coca-Cola company approached Bode with an impressive offer. They wanted Bode to be the star in a series of Coca-Cola commercials, which recreated the classic "polar bear drinks a Coke" commercials of the past. The company was hoping that the nostalgia factor of the commercials would drive sales, and help them compete with Pepsi's latest success, "Giga-Pepsi." Bode quickly agreed to the deal. The plan is for Bode to fly to Los Angeles during the offseason to shoot several of the commercials, which will start being aired at the start of the next NSFL season. In fact, Coca-Cola has already purchased a time slot during the Ultimus Championship to air one of these ads, so even if Bode doesn't make the big game himself, he'll still get a chance to be part of the festivities.
