He never disparaged Gump, but just said that Marshall will be a better RB than Gump in the NSFL which seems like a safe bet based on the TPE and bank account disparities.
So many more variables than just TPE and bank accounts to consider though.
Since I'm in the New Orleans war room as well I know that RB was definitely not something needed when going into draft and the pick was made purely to get Hanks in the LR as he impressed JuOsu in pre draft interviews. Obviously that decision was then endorsed by me and others.
So it was not a pick made with the thought "we're going RB here which is the best one". It was "we don't want to miss out on Hanks so we'll take him here even though he's a RB".
Maybe that information will help @`EnfysNest`? You shouldn't feel disparaged, there's so much that goes into these drafts and as someone who had to draft this class last season I know every decision is made hard with the knowledge you're missing out on so many great guys no matter who you pick. You have a great landing spot Yellowknife where you'll have plenty of opportunity straight away in your rookie season, as well as great teammates and two very competent GMs.
