Many players in the NSFL and pressure by their teams into taking team friendly contracts that they don't wanna take. They are given 3 year deals with either no options or just team options. Players who want to be able to have freedom and don't necessarily want to be the bad guy are taking team friendly offers because of this pressure. This is why SLM is necessary.
