Peter is a multi athlete in the mold of greats like Jeff Wilson (cricket and rugby), Michael Jordon(basketball and baseball), and Russel Wilson(baseball and football)(Peter is also a SHL hockey Goalie - scheduling is a painful time for sure). But the player whose career he is modeling his NsFL career on is Trey Burton. Who you ask?
Trey Burton was an athletic college quarterback, who switch to TE before entering the NFL. His moment of glory was being a key part of the eagles offence that beat the invincible patriots, throwing that amazing TD to nick foles.
Peter started his career with the Marshalls as a Quarterback in the Dsfl, and has just changed position after being drafted by the Austin copperheads, to Tight End. He definitely dreams of pulling such a trick play and maybe throwing a game winning touch down to the likes of Euston Cole.
Also like Trey Burton, Peter sees himself as a balanced tight end that looks to acheive yards after catches flattening those smoll DBs that need to make up for that horrendous missed tackle by the linebacker.
But likewise looks to not lose quickly to that blitz rusher. Peter isn't going to be able to hold that block for long, hell Trey Burton can't either. They are not linemen. But, being able to get into position and land a punch that either kills the rushing momentum or pushes them off the line of the QB, that's what makes a great tight end. Catching passes is important. But in all seriousness, Jimmy Graham, Jordan Reed, these are just big wide receivers that play in the slot... Being a Tight end is about pass blocking, being the lead back blocking for the halfback, and being that underneath treat keeping the defense honest. It's not always flashy. The stats aren't always there, but those things help teams win. And keep defensman confused as to your true purpose on the field. That hesitation is all you need to get a edge.
