The most important job for a Wide Reciever is to catch the football. The yards and touchdowns are a nice bonus, but none of that matters if you cant hang on to the ball in the first place. If Asher Quinn could set any record it would be the NSFL for most catches in a single game. I'd like to break this record to showcase how great of hands I truly have. Single season and career records look great but when you see a single-game record you know that player just took over. My way of breaking the catches record would would involve me slicing and dicing up the opposing defense. It would be surgical finding holes in the zone over the middle of beating the corner underneath in man coverage. The refs would be come impressed that they would ask to check my gloves for stick 'em multiple times since they can't believe the catches I would be making. This would require a lot of trust from my coach and QB but something that I feel fits right into my wheelhouse. I would gain first downs like crazy along the way. The feeling of knowing that you've accomplished something no other player has been able to do would be vindicating to be going from the role of small school player to record holder.
