6) Alright, so a bot team, should be fun. Let’s talk about the sim, and what I need? Well, here’s what I would do for a bot team, that can only have bots, and need to build it into a contender? I play gutsy, get the balanced archtypes for all positions and put everything into speed. Seriously, if no one has told new creates speed is everything they’re missing out because speed is everything and our new player mentors should be fired if this is a case, but I honestly think they’re doing a great job. So what to do with this bot team? Well I gotta keep them competitive which means early wins are going to be killer, putting all the TPE into the defense and run game, and run heavy and pass light is going to mitigate mistakes and keep the roster strong while punishing teams on an early level. What else do I talk about? Well the locker room is going to suck, it’s all bots, so me with an army of bots, I wonder if I could use mee6 and another bot to make an infinite loop, that would be wild. Man, I should try that on my next discord.
10) Dwyer stepping down is still nuts. Like he was first appointed to the great role of Commish around the time of my brief tenure in HO. I don’t think people appreciate how much shit he had to deal with behind the scenes. Baltimore was in the way of cap violations and the Head Office was hemmoraging people. I think I was the only Head Office member in that group that wasn’t interviewed but asked, but maybe not. I know I was the only one who served and was technically still barred from holding a GM job until the season prior. I was also the only one who was on HO and served a league suspension for tampering, so that was fun. Anyways, back in the hot seat? Honestly, fuck if I know what to do, the commish is a weird job, because right now everything is pretty smooth, compared to PBE which has some drama weekly, and the league is in good shape. I’m not a good choice, because I create problems and worry too much. So what do I do? Probably start the interview process while serving as the league’s stop gap so that we have a suitable replacement.

8) Let’s talk about the draftee I know the most about; me. That’s right, I’m talking about Defensive End Hal Fassingit. Fun, little known fact, the name spells Half Assing it, because I lack the time to get a non low TPE position (like DE) the attention it needs. You want to know what killed Anoa’i? This new job I had at work. You want to know why I left OCO? Because I struggle supporting a team that is not the underdog. So here’s me, and scouts are wondering, will I play anywhere and are they getting Smallwood, the Hall of Fame player who still holds the record for single season TDs or Anoa’I the promising WR who didn’t live up to the hype due to my workload in real life? The answer is both, the scales for DE are so much shallower than WR or RB that I can put in the Anoa’I workload and put out the hall of fame level of skill and talent that Smallwood had. That’s right folks, you got a loyal guy who if you draft is going to take you places. Of course, I know I’ve been drafted and where, but that’s for another Pt.

1. What was something you were looking for this upcoming draft? Was there a specific play in the Ultimini, or player, who caught your eye that was not a recreate?
Not really. We tend to just look for the best player/user available. Sometimes need comes into play, but really only if we like the user as well. In this case we definitely had a need at DE but our conversations with Boucher went well and we know he's a sim league guy because of the crossover with PBE. Any stats or big plays are secondary or even tertiary sort of things, though I do think Boucher had a great DSFL season.
2. The Otters are still the team to beat, regardless of their postseason outcome, do you see that train stopping any time soon? if so, when?
I try to avoid sounding overly cocky when it comes to the Otters because I'm sure enough people dislike us without any of that, but I don't really see that train stopping, no. I mean, there will be seasons where we aren't the single best team in the league, but in terms of being a fixture atop the standings and remaining competitive, that's something we strive to keep going forever. And I think that that tradition is in good hands with our new GMs
3. The Otters now have won Ultimus 8, and correct me I am wrong, but this 4 under your tenure. Does the feeling change between the wins? Do you still feel elated, or does it just feel like routine now?
Okay I will correct you :P - it is number 5 under my tenure. S12, S13, S17, S18, S19. Hard to believe really. As far as the feeling goes there was a definite difference between S12 and the subsequent wins for me. There was a much higher level of excitement with that one. It never feels routine, though. Hell, I still get bigly nervous before regular season ones. So when all of that collective anxiety culminates in a trophy it feels pretty good
4. Which Ultimus win was your favorite and why?
Uh, hard to say. I have to admit that two of the past three didn't feel as fun as the others. Seasons 16 and 17 were both bittersweet, for different reasons. It would've been really cool for Doug and Nunc to win on their way out, and YKW really deserve a title with the level of success they've sustained for this long.
By process of elimination I guess I'd end up saying S12. That was arguably the only season we were the best team in the league, proved it all season, and then proved it again in the playoffs. And it was my first win after leaving NOLA and watching them win 2 without me, so I sort of felt vindicated about my decision with that on
