There are a lot of incredible players on the Orange County Otters that deserve to be awarded recognition. However there is one player that stands out among all the others and that is Franklin Armstrong. He actually had a down year compared to his normal production and he still managed to have a record setting season IN A DOWN YEAR. His passing was definitely down from his normal standard but he still managed to be very efficient. The main reason that his passing numbers were down is that his passing volume was down. What went up though were his passing numbers in just about every regard. He had the fifth most rushing yards in the entire league with 1001 yards. This was a record number of rushing yards for a quarterback by the way. I understand that his total numbers have dropped from his MVP campaign last season and he might not be the most deserving player for that award this year (though I do think he should totally be in the conversation). I do believe that he deserves to get recognized for his accomplishments in some way though and that is why I believe he should receive the Offensive Player of the Year award if not Most Valuable Player.
