In the NHL expansion draft this year, if you traded for a player from a team before the expansion draft, the player you took would count as your selection from that team on draft day. So in the case of the nsfl, if Vegas traded for 2 players from the wraiths today, Vegas wouldn't be allowed to select anymore players from Yellowknife come expansion day. I did ask if this was how the rules were actually, but they told me that only the trades for the GM's would count as a selection on draft day. Under this system Vegas is gonna get a lot of players, because their trades aren't affecting their draft selections. So they get anyone they trade for, plus 2 free from each team on Friday.
