The Outlaws picked up a few new key pieces in this season's draft. The team is embracing a youth movement and a good draft is essential to building the foundation for the next few seasons.
The team picked up several other potential future stars on the defensive side of the ball. The biggest of which is their #14 pick, Pete "Plop" Miller, a Nose Tackle DT from Kentucky. Miller already possesses exceptional strength and has a team-first attitude; early reports are that he's already integrating well into the team's locker room and seems on the path to great things. The team also continued to focus on bolstering its D-Line with DT Juane Arc and DE Jackmerius Tacktheritrix. And the Front Seven got additional support in the form of #16 pick LB Trevor Mouseman. Not to mention needed back-up for the team's Secondary with pick-up of CB Atlas Quinn.
Of course, the team also added to its promising offense with two more picks, QB George O'Donnell and RB Baby Yoda. O'Donnel was a curious pick-up given that the team's current success with young QB Jay Cue, but O'Donnell was a value pick-up and has huge upside even if he doesn't have an obvious spot carved out for him. The cream tends to rise to the top and having two talented QBs competing for the job is a great problem for Arizona to have. As for Baby Yoda, he'll be competing with the team's current bell cow RB Ruff Ruff, but his ability as a receiving back will allow him to contribute all over the field.
The team is considered a long shot for the play-offs so far, but with so many rising stars, it's only a matter of time before they're back in the running for a title.
