The Austin Copperheads have added 2 key pieces in their defense in Riles McTackle and Holden Summers with their tenth and eleventh picks in the Season 21 Draft. The Copperheads improved with what will be one of the best linebackers the NSFL has ever seen with Summers who can tackle anybody and anywhere. McTackle can improve the Copperheads’ on their defensive line immediately as they replace a defensive lineman that went inactive. Holden Summers helped lead his team to a DSFL championship, so he’s already used to winning when the stakes are high. The Coyotes did not do the best during the DSFL season, but McTackle is ready to make his mark bigger by just filling in a hole that Austin had. As long as McTackle pulls his weight Summers will be able to stop anyone that gets behind him. That one-two punch of McTackle and Summers will help make Austin one of the most feared defenses anyone will face. But that’s just the two rookies. Austin also signed a few more pieces in players like Jordan Jackson and Tree Gelbman, who will continue to develop ready to fill in future holes in Austin. The biggest choice that the Copperheads made during the draft was to simply stop drafting. The Copperheads know that they have a team that can go the distance and they don’t want to muddy the waters with superfluous players that could end up just getting in the way. Austin will be a force to beat for many seasons to come.
