As rookie Darren Smallwood gets ready for the draft this upcoming Wednesday, the following statement has been released. “I will not be present at the draft itself” The rookie WR from Beloit College said “I have other obligations, specifically a charity kickball game”. When asked about the draft itself, the Nevada native had this to say: “I will be happy to be drafted by whatever team picks me up and will work hard to prove to other seven teams that they made the biggest mistake by not picking me as I torch every cornerback and safety they send my way. Teams that slept on me will look back on this draft and not picking me as the biggest mistake they ever made. I am look forward to proving both the mock drafters who do not include me in their drafts and the teams that sleep on me wrong about their perceived impact as anything less than all-star worthy. In conclusion, whatever team does take me I will benefit from someone who wants to see the team succeed and do well for this season and the seasons to come and I look forward to being a supportive member, if not a building block, to a great dynasty”.
