Throughout his early years as a football player, Harrison Andrews had always played on both sides of the ball. Though they were very different skillsets, he excelled offensively and defensively even at the college ranks. Playing the tight end position had always been what he enjoyed most, but it was evident early on that he was truly gifted as a defensive lineman. In the DSFL, he knew his days of being a two-way player would be over because of the talent level. As the S23 DSFL draft approached, Harrison had several conversations with GMs, but they all had one question in common: “Would you be willing to play full time on defense?” Every GM agreed that Harrison projected better as a defensive end. Harrison struggled with this decision. He knew they were right. His skillset was perfect for the defensive line and that would be where he could make the biggest impact, but could he abandon his passion for the playing the tight end position?
After several long discussions with his teammates, friends, and family, Harrison decided he would commit to playing on the defensive side of the ball. It turned out better than he could have imagined. Joining the London Royals, he was a member of one of the most talented defenses in the DSFL and poised to make a big splash. His DSFL career is off to a rocky start, but the foundation is there for a big bounce back.
