Introduction
Last week, on Wednesday September 2nd, the International Simulation Football League was introduced to one of the most innovative and fun ideas that have been thrown around the league for a while. This idea came to fruition finally after much anticipation, and so far, it has been a great hit. I want to start and say thank you to all of the Dotts team for all of the insane amount of work they have done to make this dream into reality. I can’t wait to see where Dotts goes next and what they add, such as trading, signature sets, and many other things. I also can't wait to see the brand new expansion team Dotts cards and would love to see those included in the future.
It has now been a full week since Dotts have come out, so instead of doing the daily Dott pack openings that some people are doing and clogging up the media thread, I am going to be doing a weekly article instead talking about the cards I got throughout the week, go over how many different types of cards I got, and if that packs I got this week were worth the $3.5M price. The goal of this is to get enough money to pay for my weekly Dotts subscription, and then I can continue to make this a weekly series. This is not going to be an in depth review of the players I pulled, but just more of a quick overview.
Overall, I got 47 out of 49 cards this week as I got duplicate cards twice. Since I do not remember which players I pulled in every pack, I am going to just go team by team in my collection, and talk about the end product instead of my reactions when I first pulled them. Maybe one day, if the date you pulled a card can be added onto the cards, I can go over pack to pack, but as of right now I do not remember. Let us go ahead and get started with the cards I pulled for the Arizona Outlaws!
Arizona Outlaws
Out of the 7 packs I received through the week, I pulled 4 Arizona Outlaw cards. Two were backup tier, one was starter tier, and one was an all pro. Lets start with my two back up tier cards.
Atlas Quin - Cornerback - Season 21
I really enjoy the render of this card, it is definently unique and cool looking. This player is also only from season 21, so I am hoping one day he can move up a tier.
Fresh Booter - Wide Reciever - Season 5
This is a veteran player here all the way back from Season 5. It is sad he wasn't able to continue on in the league.
Harrif Ernston - Linebacker - Season 1
Coming all the way back from season 1, he was a starter player, but again not much else for this Outlaws team. Still cool to see some older players.
Lamont McKinnie - Safety - Season 15
This guy was a bawler for the Outlaws and is probably a leagend. Going all the way back to Season 15, he is an all-pro player which makes him one of the best safeties and players in the league.
Austin Copperheads
Surprisingly enough, out of the 47 cards I pulled, not a single one was an Austin Copperheads card. They are the only team I had not pulled a card from this week not including the expansion cards as those don't exist yet. Maybe next week I will pull one.
Baltimore Hawks
In total, I got 6 cards for Baltimore which was the fourth most I received for a single team. But by far the best card I picked this week was a Baltimore Haws card. I had three backup tier cards, one starter card, one star card, and one of the rare and elusive hall of fame(!!!) cards.
Dex Kennedy - Linebacker - Season 22
A young player here, I like his render a lot and have seen him before in the forums. Hopefully will see him get a starter card or better in the future.
Spencer Castle - Cornerback - Season 13
Another older player who just fizzled out. Dating all the way back to Season 13, just never could get it figured out.
Stephen Harrison - Linebacker - Season 1
Another old player, and this is one who was around since the beginning of the league. It is a shame he did not work out as well either, but atleast he got to see the beginning days of the league.
Eldrick Avery - Cornerback - Season 22
One of the budding star players in the league. Currently has a starter card even though he was drafted in Season 22. Will probably end up getting better tier cards one day cause this dude is a baller.
Arbin Asipi Jr. - Defensiive End - Season 6
One of the best players back in his day, all the way back from the early days of the International Simulation Football League. He was a force to be reckoned with in his day. He may not have taken his game to the next level, but he was still a great player.
Verso L'Alto - Tight End - Season 7 - Class of 37'
The Crème de la Crème of all of the packs. This beatiful card is one of 3 Hall of Fame cards currenlty pulled. Verso is only one of two Tight Ends ever to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and was one of the pioneers in shaping the league into what it is today. Drafted in Season 7, he was around near the beginning and dominated for years to come before retiring 12 seasons later in 2034 and then getting inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2037. He also originally played for Tijuana and was a Tijuana legend before going to Baltimore. What an amazing card and an even more amazing player.
Chicago Butchers
The Chicago Butchers cards did not treat me as nicely as the Baltimore Hawks cards. I only received 2 of them, one of which is a backup tier card and the other is a starter tier card.
Tyron Shields - Cornerback - Season 22
Another young buck in the league, we shall see if he is able to figure things out and become one of the premier cornerbacks in the league or not.
Askel Danielsson - Runningback - Season 12
First of all, I love the agrressive and hype render. This is a pretty cool pull, as he is an older running back who was a good player, but not a great one.
Colorado Yeti
I pulled a bunch of Colorado Yeti cards this week, 7 in total which is the third most for any team, but all in all it was actually kind of a disappointing haul. I did not get really any amazing cards, and one of my two duplicate cards was from a Colorado Yeti player. Altogether I got six backup tier cards, and one star tier card.
Rob Anderson - Linebacker - Season 6
Another older player who just couldn't get it figured out. Season 6 was a long time ago, so it is always cool seeing some of these older lesser known players.
Ryan LeFevre - Linebacker - Season 7
Another older player. Coming a year after Rob Anderson above. Just an okay player who fizzled out.
Jaquan Young - Wide Receiver - Season 3
A season 3 player who joined this team as it was still trying to find an identity. Maybe that is one of the reasons this player never worked out?
Arjen de Ligt - Defensive End - Season 3
Another Season 3 player who didn't make it very long in the league. Badass name though.
Eidur Gustavsson - Defensive End - Season 3
One of my duplicate cards. I got two of these, and it is another season 3 card from Yeti that didn't work out. Maybe Season 3 wasn't a very good draft for them./
Beau Montgomery - Cornerback - Season 12
After seeing all of those backup players, we now have a really solid star player in Beau Montgomery. Really solid player when the league was getting on its feet.
Honolulu Hahalua
Honolulu Hahalua cards eluded me this week, as I only received 1 card total from the forty-seven I pulled. It wasn't even an amazing blow you away type card either. All I received was one backup tier card.
Victor Moreno - Cornerback - Season 20
A more recent pick who hasn't developed much yet, but maybe he still has a chance to move up some tiers as he is still pretty young.
New Orleans Second Line
I got a solid 3 cards for New Orleans this week out of the seven packs I pulled. They weren't anything amazing, but I had two older players so it is cool to see some players early on in the league. Overall, I got two backup tier cards and one starter tier card.
Conner Tanner - Tight End - Season 3
Man I am getting a lot of really old players. Hailing all the way back from season 3, just turned out to be an average TE for NOLA.
Brady Stropko - Linebacker - Season 1
All the way from the beginning. I really like the color change here, and it is always cool seeing some league history even if this guys didn't become a star player.
Dorfus Jimbo Jr. - Offensive Lineman - Season 21
I got to say I love this card just because of how unique it is. I also like to imagine DEs and DTs going up against this massive robotic dog. He is only from Season 21, so who knows maybe this puppy will grow some fangs.
Orange County Otters
The Orange County Otters have treated me well in the Dotts world this week. I pulled the second most cards for this team, getting 8 cards total. Not to mention my very first pack ever had an all pro player from Orange County. The pack luck for this team did not end after the first pack though. While I did not pull a card quite on the same caliber as Hall of Fame Verso L'Alto from the Baltimore Hawks, I think the pulls from this team were the overall best. All in all, I received 3 backup tier cards, 3 starter tier cards, and 2 all pro cards.
Erlich Burnsman - Running Back - Season 3
A big theme I have noticed this week is I am getting a lot of really early players who haven't survived long in the league. But it is nice to see these types of guys still getting love.
JD Boom - Defensive End - Season 3
Another player from the season 3 draft. This draft in general just seemed to not have a lot of talent, as I am getting a lot of backup season 3 cards.
Romeo Devitt - Defensive Tackle - Season 1
All the way from the beginning, one of the first players on this OCO team. Too bad he didn't work out in the end.
Greg Clegane - Defensive Tackle - Season 2
First of all, I used to love Game of Thrones so this is a badass player from the start. It is a shame he couln't live up to his name, but atleast he was relativly productive early in the league.
Jonathan Rice - Cornerback - Season 11
A solid player coming into the 2nd decade of the NSFL at the time. Didn't end up being a star, but was solid nonetheless.
Jeffrey Phillips - Tight End - Season 22
An up and coming player in the league. Is really young and already has a starter card. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get a star card in the future.
Korrin Abernathy - Cornerback - Season 18
Drafted in season 18, he has just been one of the premier players in the league since. He is still one of the best cornerbacks in the league, and also one of the best cornerbacks in the entire history of the league. He will be a legend soon, as well as maybe being a Hall of Fame player in the future.
Mike Boss - Quarterback - Season 1
This was my first all-pro player I pulled, and it was in my first ever pack. Sure I may have pulled better cards than this one, but this one is by far my favorite. Not only was it a great introduction into the Dotts world, but when I told people about this card, people responded with one word, "GOAT". He was here from the beginning days of the league, and is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play ion this league period. I also really like this card because I am currently playing with Mike Boss's son in Tijuana right now and protecting him, Mike Boss Jr., it was cool to pull his fathers card in my first pack.
Philadelphia Liberty
I pulled 3 from Philadelphia this week, same as New Orleans, but the pulls for Liberty were not quite as good as I was hoping for. I pulled 3 backup tier cards in total.
Tristan Gronlie - Defensive Tackle - Season 22
A young player in the league. His eyes are closed to represent that no one is looking at him right now, but one day they will be.
Greg Taylor - Defensive End - Season 1
Another piece of history, one of the first players in the league. Didn't work out in the long run but atleast he saw the league form.
Ikaika Kalilimoku - Defensive End - Season 12
A big ol' Hawian man. All the way back from Season 12. He couldn't figure out how to use his size to his advantage in the league sadly.
San Jose Sabercats
If you combined what I pulled from New Orleans and Philadelphia, you'd get San Jose. While I did get 5 total cards from San Jose, there wasn't really anything special. Although to be fair, all of the backup tier cards I did pull all were from season 22 or later, so maybe one day they will have higher tier cards. I got 4 backup tier cards and one starter tier card.
Walter Chestnut III - Defensive End - Season 23
The latest player I have pulled currently. Only reason he is a bronze is cause he has only had a couple of seasons of playing time. WIll probably move up though one day.
Brendan Lanier - Safety - Season 22
Another recent player from San Jose. Its hard to gage players from S22 and later since they haven't played long enough to see if they will become great or average players. We will see what his future holds.
Chester Sweets - Cornerback - Season 22
A theme with most of my San Jose pulls, another recent player. We shall see if San Jose can develop all of these guys and make them great players.
Matt Krause - Cornerback - Season 22
The fourth defensive San Jose player who was from S22 or after. If San Jose can develop these guys, they will have some great cornerstone players to build around.
Alex Hansen - Safety - Season 1
Some more league history. A solid player back in the early years of the league. One of the better safeties around
Sarasota Sailfish
Much like Hahalua, my pulls from Sarasota were very far and few between, and underwhelming as well, only getting 1 card from all seven of the packs I pulled from. I only pulled one backup tier card for Sarasota.
Marlo Smart - Linebacker - Season 18
A player that just didn't make it far in the league sadly. I like the color swap on the jersey.
Yellowknife Wraiths
Last but not least, we have the Yellowknife Wraiths pulls. Now this is the team that I pulled the most cards from, at a total of 9. Unlike the Orange County Otters though, I did not get very many good cards. My second duplicate pull came from this team as well. In total, I had five backup tier cards, and 4 starter tier cards.
Borro Gore - Running Back - Season 6
An early running back a couple years after the league began. Sadly though, Borro is no more-o.
Ryan Fitzfatrick - Defensive Tackle - Season 3
Another earty player in the league who didn't make it far. I love his name though. To bad he couldn't perform like Ryan Fitzfatgic and become a beast.
D.J. Law - Wide Reciever - Season 1
A season 1 player, I actually pulled a lot of S1 Wraiths players for some reason. Cool to see some of the forgotten players who fazed out pretty early though.
Dirk Cutter - Cornerback - Season 1
Another S1 player on the other side of the ball. It is sad to see alot of these early players didn't make it in the league, but the league was still pretty new.
Thomas Carrasco - Running Back - Season 11
A running back who entered right after a new decade of NSFL football. Hes got a goofy looking face and I chuckle a little bit everytime I see it.
Bubba Nuck - Running Back - Season 1
The second duplicate card I got. He was a really solid player in his time, and was one of the better running backs in the infancy days of the league.
Franklin Harris Jr. - Tight End - Season 3
Even though early on the Wraiths had some not so good players, they also had some pretty good players, and this is one of them. One of the better TEs during his time.
Patrik Money - Defensive End - Season 22
Last but not least, we have P. Money. Got to say, I love adding the money in the background, that was a great touch. He is only a S22 player and already has a silver card. He will be getting a gold card very soon and may even go for more, and he is one of the best young defensive ends in the league.
Conclusion
So there it is, all of the cards I pulled in Week 1 in Dotts. Overall I would say this has been a fantastic first week. I pulled one of the most rare cards in all of Dotts in Hall of Famer Verso L'Alto, which by the way I am only 1 of 3 people to pull a Hall of Fame card so far. I also came out with 3 all pro cards as well, which while that isn't as impressive as pulling an awards card, a legend card, or a hall of fame card, they are still good pulls.
I will add a list of all the tier cards I pull every week, as well as the amount of cards I pull from a team.

Star Tier: 2
All-Pro Tier: 3

Thats it! Once again I would like to thank everyone apart of the Dotts team as so far Dotts has been amazing and has exceeded my expectations. I hope I keep having wonderful weeks like this, and I plan to keep my subscription for the forseeable future. If you like trading cards and you have some cash to spare, go ahead and buy a couple of packs! Sure a subscription may cost a pretty penny at $3.5M a week, but one pack is only $500k, which isn't bad at all. Dotts will also only get better from here, and I can't wait until that day comes!
Thanks for reading, and I will see you all next Wednesday for my Weeks 2 Mellott's Dotts Review!
