---This is kind of beating a dead horse, but I don’t really have much else to talk about for this PT I’m going to talk about the sim…heh. Let’s be honest for most of us the existing sim software that we use sucks. It is outdated, it crashes if you don’t follow a specific order of things (which you won’t know unless you trial and error a bunch of times), one of the biggest things, in my opinion, is it isn’t new user friendly. I'll talk about some of the reasons why I imagine we haven’t switched sim software and some disadvantages of switching.
---The number one thing is money, you would need to either find other open-source sim software that would be, without question, better than what we are currently using. The other option would be finding a company that the ISFL could sign a deal with after purchasing, that would be ok with distributing the software to potentially everyone in the league. This would most likely cost fat stacks and is the first hurdle that would need to be cleared. The other big disadvantage would be converting over our system to this new software. Recreating a whole league, recreating every team and every player, learning the new software. The software would most likely use different stats and metrics which leads to figuring out how to convert an existing spec system over to fit the new one. The list goes on and on when it comes to the amount of work that would be needed to convert everything over. All said and done though I feel this would be worth it in the long run. The new interface could have some more schemes that fall in line with the actual football strategy. Games could be tested for easier. Positions could matter. This would be a great change if done right, the key thing is doing it right which takes a lot of time and money.
---Thank you for coming to my shitty Ted Talk, I feel bad for the person who had to sit through and read this to grade it and give me my sweet TPE XD.
