Written Option: In 200 words or more, present some argument about the league that can be supported with evidence - either with logic, stats, or examples. This could be anything - a player’s HOF case, why Berlin will win the Ultimus this year, why player agent rules need to be changed, or anything in between. Make sure your argument has at least some evidence backing it up, and avoid arguing anything that could venture into persona attacks
I'm gonna write a quick two hundred words on why I think money and cap can be changed to make the league and contracts/free agency more interesting. So, as we know 21.5 million is needed to MAX earn for a season. Usually, 8 weekly trainings and 13.5 million for T6. First, we need to figure the cap out for each team. So, lets say this, there are 22 players total that are needed to have a fully active team, both sides of the ball. Now, no team has this and I don't think we ever will but lets say half of each side of the ball MAX earns that's 11 MAX earners. So that's 11 players needing 21.5million a year to have their contract cover the cost of their training and equipment. So, 236.5 mil would be the cap hit if each MAX earner signed a 21.5 mil dollar yearly deal. So, we tone this down to lets say 215 mil cap per team. NOW, we are adding value to contracts and FA, players will want to MAX earn to earn the contract, teams have to focus on what and who to pay. I wrote more detail in UW tasks about changing media pay scale and jobs and such but this is a PT so i'm pretty much done. But I think there is a way to actually boost contract and FA value by increasing cap and contract size and adjusting media and League Job criteria.
