The league needs to update to DDSPF21. It's been a hot topic for a long time and the arguments are all still valid. Still, I think the idea needs to be revisited. While 2021 offers a lot of new content on it's own, we are years of updates behind now. There are a plethora of new features available that would really spice things up for the league. One of the newer features mentioned are social types and player personas. For a lot of us, our players don't have crazy personalities but for others that could be big. It would be interesting to see if player personalities actually had to balanced in the sim as much as they do in the locker room. This could be a giant headache for GMs, but at the same time I think it offers more positives than negatives. If that doesn't intrigue some, maybe the more customizable playbook would. There are a ton of new options including various forms of pre-snap motion. You can even customize who does it and on what formations. This would be another thing that would really open up the creative juices for the league again. I feel like we are at the point where everyone pretty much has the same knowledge of the sim, with random little exceptions that are borderline sim-breaking at times. It would be cool to see some new things thrown in. If you still are convinced, maybe an improved penalty and 4th down AI would be the final nudge. I think we've all been through games where our team lost for punting on 4th and 2 on the opponent's 35 yard line. Updated AI is always a plus in my book.
