I believe the Sarasota Sailfish will win the Ultimus Championship this season. For starters, the Sailfish went 12-4 last season, good for second best in their division. The only reason their incredible season went somewhat unnoticed is because of the even more remarkable 14-2 season the Colorado Yeti had. Now though, the Sailfish have had another offseason to work on improving the team, and they've certainly done that. Almost all of their players, other than their two expansion draft losses, Clark Boyd and Eric Richards, are returning with inflated TPE counts. They have the reigning offensive player of the year at quarterback, a 1000 TPE running back, multiple 800+ TPE receivers, an 800+ TPE tight end, the DSFL record holder for both pancakes in a game and a season, a new 800+ TPE safety, 2 800+ linebackers, the back to back DToTY, S23's defensive player of the year, a 1000 TPE safety, and a very solid cornerback group. Not to mention the best kicker/punter in the ISFL. The Sailfish also have some of the best sim testers around in Frost, sakrosankt, and abh, who will give the team the edge in most of their matchups. Despite being in a stacked conference alongside 2 of the top 4 total TPE teams in the league, I think the Sailfish will have a great year all around and bring their first championship trophy home.
