I think that in the interest of having a living league, we need more turnover. I agree that regression should be a bit slower, but maybe a peak at around year 10 or so?
I'd like to see regression start really slow, but also start at year 5, something small. If a player is still active, it's barely noticeable, but will slowly erode an inactive player. I am flexible regarding the method (I think I prefer ramp), but basically I just want it to start a little sooner so less active players have shorter careers.
Yeah I agree, I think turnover is good and we can still keep active people at the top longer but at the same time bring along new players more quickly. I think we have time to think about the best way to implement, but I do think sooner is a little better
