A lot changed for Brandon Booker this past offseason. For the first time since entering the ISFL in S22, Booker moved teams. Some miscommunication from the Philadelphia Liberty management between Booker and other GMs led to Booker apparently being traded to Sarasota, and then a few days later apparently being traded to Orange County instead after he'd already been speaking to his new GMs and teammates. A few hours later Booker took his option and became a free agent, eventually joining Orange County anyway. What a waste of his and everyone else's time.
Brandon Booker now finds himself on easily the best team he's ever played with. Booker himself has continued to improve and is now the CB4 in the ISFL by TPE. The Orange County Otters defence is possibly the best in the league, boasting five 1000+ TPE players. And, with two of the league's best DBs over the last few seasons in Korrin Abernathy and Prince Vegeta beside him, Booker is in good company in the secondary. The offence is nothing to scoff at either, with a core of backs and receivers entering their prime and Suleiman Ramza - protected by three human offensive linemen, no less - entering his second ISFL season after a promising debut in S25.
Orange County has started 2-0 - something Brandon Booker didn't experience in his four seasons with Philadelphia - and have their sights set on the Ultimus. After playing just one playoff game in four seasons, these expectations (and having the ability to stand a chance of realising them) are a new, and welcome feeling. (261 words)
