Von Hayes is a true humanitarian, and because of that, he donates a lot of his free time to helping the local community where he grew up. In the swamplands of Florida, Hayes goes out and helps out his local neighbors whenever he has an opportunity to do so. A lot of the local work he does involves help keeping the local fauna and environment healthy and clean of all forms of debris and trash. He also has started his own foundation, dedicated to helping out rural children. Think of what Dolly Parton's foundation does, but for families who can't afford to put their kids through any form of education. The whole Butchers organization also supports the Chicago community through multiple acts of charity. Every thanksgiving week, they gather the whole team together and hold a giant food drive to help those who cannot afford thanksgiving meals in the Chicago area. They provide assistance to the elderly who are alone and need help with basic daily tasks as well, but nothing compares to the work that they do in conjunction with the Make a Dream foundation. Through his 5 seasons in the ISFL, Von Hayes has been one of the most active in making dreams come true, helping the program accomplish over 40 wishes since he started. With the heart of gold he has, Hayes is always looking for more ways to help out the community, and is looking at starting more foundations and charities for those in need.
